Well if true the club is finished in my lifetime. What a bunch of cnuts

Let's be honest, this is just confirming what's been obvious for months. The idea of the club being sold anytime soon looks like a pipe dream.

More than double any football club has ever been sold for and a cool 4B more than any professional sports franchise worldwide has ever gone for...

So basically, they'll never sell :lol:

They don’t see it as a football club, they see it as a commercial entity with a billion customers. Twitter is a piece of shit that has way less interest from a commercial perspective than a brand like United but it still went for $44b. I have no doubt in their minds they think they’re sitting on something equally as valuable, they’re just trying to find a way to get someone else to see that.

Major silverware in next two years with no money to spend and a club run by idiots.

It’s been coming, greed has prevailed but no one is paying them 10bn in 2 years as club will only be in a worse state than it is now.

The thing is they can get away with it, they’ll be uproar and protests but it will die down and then know they can just sit it out and distract with empty promises, ew structures, managers and signings.

After this whole saga that went on for a bloody year - no one would offer any proposition to them or take them seriously, because they're a joke!

I am relieved that we will be spared becoming a sportswashing vehicle for now.

@Pes6Monster ignore the ad hominem. I have appreciated your posts in this thread.

I don't get the rationale of trying to sell again in a couple years. The club is likely to need more investment going forward, not less. Why do they think that they'll suddenly get a few billion more in a couple years?

Not everyone watches football for the same reason. Some want to support a team and a community.
That’s cool but sport is about winning. I’m sorry that you’re so casual about our neighbours winning trebles while we scrounge around signing loan players. Supporting the team means wanting the best for the team.

Ahh these fecking piece of shit leeches. I despise them with all my being.

It makes no sense. And things reported by unreliable journalists in a shit paper based entirely on a single source that make no sense tend to be a load of bollocks.

The stadium isn’t a joke,

Youth team is doing well.

Women’s team has started strong.

We won a trophy last year and have a great squad.

I understand the hatred for Qatar but if this story is true then United won’t be sold to anyone for a long long time. Firstly no one can afford it and no one would be bothered to engage after this year long bullshit

Part of me doesn't want to believe it cause of the source and for my own sanity but even if it is true, a valuation of £10bn is insane. Even if we win the league between now and 2025, it's insane. These guys are parasites.

Clueless.

How is that clueless?

We’ve just sold two youth players for around 40 mil.
Many more have gone on to prem clubs this summer. Meanwhile Rashford, McTominay, Garnacho, Mainoo and Pellestri will be part of our team.

I’ve been to the ground recently. Have you? It’s fine.

I hope that this story is indeed false, just like the non news that we've been getting for the past few months that keep saying anything can happen.

We shall see. If I’m honest Qatar just need to pay the asking price. It’s not hard.

stadium is a joke
declining youth infrastructure
women's team losing best players to rivals
hoping Ten Hag pulls off a miracle and delivers "major trophies"

Yeah despite the protestations from the Glazer defenders here, this is all true. We are reliant on the manager pulling a miracle which no offence to him he isn’t capable of doing.

Sport is not all about winning. At all.

The article actually says they expect to generate a price of £7-10bn in two years time on the forecast of the environment.

It is when you’re one of the biggest, most successful clubs in the world. The fans with standards aren’t interested in participation trophies. This club is about winning things. You always have to adapt to the landscape.

It’s a poor source. Why is this suddenly the first time we’ve heard the number 10 billion? When the whole time it’s been about 6.

10 Billion?

Probably bollocks because they'll know they're never getting that for a football club in their lifetimes. Unless the cnuts are planning to live past 90-100.

I have massive standards for what is good for this club!

It's absolute rubbish, terrible source and the description about the Glazers idea sounds like a fabricated journalist story.

Mediocrity or worse it is then.

We need finance experts on this forum here to post to see if this is realistically the case?

The signs do not seem to be good. As I posted earlier (a couple of days ago) the United Muppetier (James) thinks that will kick the can down the road. I suppose you couple that with the fact that next to nothing in terms of news has come out in terms of progress, the bidders not hearing anything etc, etc.

It does not look good. They are also probably looking at the amount Saudi Arabia is spending.

I do not know, I am not a finance expert. I am also not sure if this is a good source or not. Keegan has not posted this story and it is his paper.

Any rational thinkers to give us hope?

+1

And most of you have deluded yourselves into thinking that the "best for the team" and success can only be provided by blood money. I don't want my club's success and new fans to built upon human slavery. Not to mention how unfair it is to every other club not named Newcastle, Man. City, Chelsea and PSG.

'Source close to the Glazers' yeah right, if they wanted this out there they'd just say it, not let some dodgy story be put out first, It's just bait laid by one of the would be buyers to try and rile the fans up against them some more.

I'd expect a counter story pretty quickly.
