Club Sale | It’s done!

How many reports have said we are being sold soon, even Rio said it, and nothings happened. Why would this story be any truer than them? They are all just guessing

Reuters, Bloomberg, reputable outlets in Qatar, oh and the much maligned Custis all say the club is in the process of being sold, let's hope that this is still the case, as it is beginning to feel like the Glazers are actually holding the club hostage for nothing but pure greed, utterly disgraceful.

Your standards see Greenwood playing for us and Qatar owning us. If you don’t think that will hold us back I don’t know what to say.
I’m not really bothered about Greenwood either way. I don’t think it’s realistic he returns to form given the time out. Regardless, if Qatar own us we return to being a real club again and not the sorry state of affairs we find ourselves in. I find it absolutely amazing that people don’t want the club to be successful.

The club is successful. We had a great year last year.

'Source close to the Glazers' yeah right, if they wanted this out there they'd just say it, not let some dodgy story be put out first, It's just bait laid by one of the would be buyers to try and rile the fans up against them some more.

I'd expect a counter story pretty quickly.
We can only pray.

People do but they’re not willing to see the club become just another state plaything to achieve that.

I agree. And it's coming from Alex Miller too has done a lot of guessing in the past regarding the Liverpool takeover. He seemed pretty confident that the Saudi's were taking over back in November of last year.

Well I’ve got news for you. There are no other options. That’s it. Adapt or die. People need to wake up and start accepting life for what it is.

I can see these horrible leeches looking at the inflation of players this summer, and feeling they’ve undersold the value of the club.

First the Greenwood shitshow, then the penny-pinching transfer window and finally to make it worse no sale (if stories are to be believed), things couldn't get any worse!

I really can't take a defeat to Arsenal tomorrow on top of all this shit.

If all this is true, who honestly would even want to attempt to get involved with a sale in the future after this absolute farce?

Am I missing something? Why are we suddenly taking the daily mail seriously?

Its daily mail and track record of this journalist is not that good.

From Reddit

Before the meltdown:

- Mail is banned

- last thing one the authors of this piece Alex miller tweeted was:

Re LFC investment. Well-placed sources maintain that several investment options remain on the table for the club... and that a deal is expected to be completed "over the summer"...

EDIT : One more from the other author Nick Harris :

DanKennett No sightings of Kenny so far, Dan. Note two bylines on the piece and it's alexmiller73's excellent City of London sources telling us of advanced talks with US parties while I'm reporting on the background of the valuation and what we believe FSG would accept

Thank feck I got to see the club in its glory days. We’re never getting back to the top with these owners and directors running the club

What is “die” in this scenario?
Seemingly something you’re perfectly happy with, being a total irrelevance on the football front. I know what you’ll say, it’s community etc the heart of the club is more important. Those things are literally always going to be there regardless of who owns us.

But…. We aren’t a total irrelevance on the football front. We’re doing well. We were the third best team in the league last year.

Well if they're looking for £10bn or even 7bn then they are unlikely to agree to 5bn because a few fans are cross with them. We need to accept that the club is going to be in the dirt for the long term I guess.

Come on please don’t delude yourself. We are absolutely miles away from challenging City and winning a league. That’s the aim, or should be. If we were Brighton I’d agree with you, but we’re not.

In fairness the Mail do have a few reliable journalists like Sami Mokbel. This is coming from Alex Miller and the Mail on Sunday who have a track record of speculation that turned out to be nonsense.

The club is successful. We had a great year last year.

3rd is successful and great from the bloke who has massive standards for the club it seems.

He’d count narrowly avoiding relegation as an average season at this rate.

Are they actually stupid? How can they genuinely expect for our value to increase when our direct rivals are not only stronger than us currently but still getting stronger?

Yes. Third place from where we were and a trophy was a successful year.

Do you think just one club is successful every year? Do you think there are 95 unsuccessful clubs?

We don’t have a divine right to win - especially when the winners are corrupt and cheating.

I don’t know why I bother but Nick Harris is one of the best sports journos working at the moment. If he’s writing it, it’s what he’s been told. As to whether it pans out or is being put about for other reasons, who knows.

The ‘Top 4 is a trophy’ crowd will be happy anyway. Because that’s all we’ve got to look forward to now.

we will never, ever compete under the Glazers.

Don't bite, take the hint from the names, it's the internet after all you could be arguing against rival fans on here without knowing
