Newcastle...
What nonsense - it's not even what insha'Allah means AFAIK
For the right price, yes, it probably was. The Glazers never got the bidding war that they were hoping for.
I read that as yes, or hell yes! What nonsense - it's not even what insha'Allah means AFAIK
I listened to the interview, that is not what Jacobs said
Agreed. It's the only way we can move things along. The only way these leeches will ever leave is when they lose or believe they'll lose money. If enough true fans strike the club -- NOT AN F-ing CENT. Tickets, jerseys, gear, MUTV, unsubscribe from the club on social media platforms, etc,.. Strike the sponsors. -- for a month, 2 months.... and NOT RELENT..... they'll get the message and will have to sell to one of the two groups, who will deal with the debt, stadium, etc,... and get the club back on the right course. It will take years to deal with the issues but ONLY real, diehard fans can effect this. Although the touristy, "Disneyland" "fans" are a huge draw and money maker but can be overridden and don't matter and will never will. No violence or threats of physical harm. We need to speak THEIR LANGUAGE. Money, money, money, mon-ay.
Same here. I wish people would stop posting them. Ben 'it will either be hot or cold tomorrow' Jacobs is someone I will not miss when this thread finally ends.I don’t get triggered by people posting tweets often, but when I do, you can bet it involves Ben Jacobs. Absolutely stealing a living.
I tend to agree with this, I think we all now know this is 100% a state bid and they’ve already declared in numerous State media that they’ve won, which of course they have not yet, my take Glazers verbally agreed a deal at £5.4/5.5bn then change their mind 3-4 weeks ago.I reckon if the preferred bidder is going to be Ratcliffe, then thats when Qatar will up the bid, probably another 300-500 mill. I cant see them being outbid when the potential owner is a Utd fan and the Emir of Qatar is as well.
I don't disagree, but good luck getting millions of fans to coordinate on this. It's much easier said than done. The only way these leeches will ever leave is when they lose or believe they'll lose money. If enough true fans strike the club -- NOT AN F-ing CENT. I think it’s best if we all just assume these parasites are staying at this point, that way it may soften the blow a tiny fraction when it dreaded news does come.

Right now Qatar would like to get it done but they are possibly talking privately to Glazers about a new £6bn bid but they will want this done asap but also have a view that they are only bidding against themselves and Sir James Arthur Ratcliffe FIChemE is trying to get additional backing to buy minority shares.
They will make one final bid and make it known worldwide what the bid is if it fails making the Glazers hated even more!
My only problem is - say in a few years all the TV money landscape changes like I believe the Glazers think it will. Then the bubble bursts.. but how much would the Glazers value the club then? £10bn+? Lot of ifs and buts, but feck me if they won't take £5.5bn and there was only 2 (real) bidders this time, surely this club is NEVER getting sold if they start valuing it at 8s or 9s?
Was thinking that. Surely it's a yes or a hopeful yes if it's a true translationWhat nonsense - it's not even what insha'Allah means AFAIK
Well it's only flawed when you view from the sense of a rational person. From the view point high up in Glazer Towers, where everything has been hand delivered on a gold plate, it probably seems entirely reasonable they would keep being able to get something for adding nothing. It's worked for them so far. As horrible as it would be for us in the short term it almost needs to blow up in their face for them to see reality and sell next time they have a chance. Hopefully for a lot lot less than the current fortune they are being offered. If they won't accept 6 billion when the club is valued by the market at a lot less, then they aren't going to accept a future bid of say 8 billion if they convince themselves the club is worth 10 billion and the market says 6 billion.
Their plan is flawed
Same, wasn’t Saudi Aramco interested in Chelsea at one point?Found it odd that the Saudis didn't bid.
Doesn’t make any sense since they would have known all of this when they put the club up for sale. In fact it was one of their selling points to potential investors.‘’’gives them the opportunity to want more money” - strange choice of words. They can have the opportunity to want as much as they like, but the club is only worth what the market is prepared to pay for it - and right now they have 2 bids that already vastly over-value the asset. Where do they think the extra money they want is going to come from?
No confidence just a feeling that they will want to leave at least the asking price on the table, to not win for them would be hugely embarrassing having come this far.Where you getting any confidence from that Jassim is going to make one final bid
I thought the same but I’m beginning to think they would happily walk away and launch a major PR attack on The glazers to save face.No confidence just a feeling that they will want to leave at least the asking price on the table, to not win for them would be hugely embarrassing having come this far.
They based the club in the cayman islands, so supposedly they pay no taxThe difference between the Qatari bid and Sir Jim's has to be the tax implications for the Glazers.
My guess of course.
I don't think that's how it worksThey based the club in the cayman islands, so supposedly they pay no tax

Sports-washing is a living reality and its moral/ethical connotations are not dependent upon an era of time.
People who use the phrase 'moral high ground' simply do not understand morality and or ethics. It is a fatuous soundbite, a slur, designed to counter arguments by 'shooting the messenger' rather than engaging seriously with a legitimate point.
What is particularly curious is those asking why 'the Glazers can't be removed', or 'they shouldn't be allowed to own the club' who later attack people with 'moral high ground' style premises.
They don't know, or at least they conceal, their own contentions, which are based on both morality and ethical conduct.
Avram got a little fatter, but otherwise, he looks exactly the same as he did 20 years ago

Glazers with George W. Bush
That's like saying Maguire has not declined at all at United. The starting position is so low, relative comparisons are kind of moot.Avram got a little fatter, but otherwise, he looks exactly the same as he did 20 years ago
Easy to do when you already look like a shriveled ballsackOdd…
So essentially Avram Glazer has aged… well.
Relatively speaking at least.
