In regards to protests, we had one effective example - there was a huge turnout and fans got on the pitch and got a game cancelled. It made a serious statement.
Problem is, that was a one off in terms of effectiveness and in my opinion the fans that got on the pitch and got the game cancelled were "lucky", the club have learnt from that and we likely wont see that again.
Using the "If the Glazers stay, you'll see protests like never seen before" argument, is unfortunatly worth nothing. We are not the best when it comes to effective protests, especially compared to some of the European fans. Some might not like to hear that, but its the truth.
I'm not in Manchester but would love to take part in some kind of protest, why do the large fan groups not organise protests outside Uniteds London HQ? or even some of their large sponsors London offices?
I think that would be a lot more effective than a handful of people outside Old Trafford every few weeks.
