Some scruffy Irish bloke threatens to beat everyone up unless we all watch his big concerts to cure aids and hand him all of our *£$%^&! money so he can give it to the Africans.

The same grifter turned up years later claiming to be a Nigerian Prince with a large inheritance he needs shifting.

Rooney has every right to have his own opinions. I respect him regardless if I agree or disagree on his opinions. Proper legend as well.

I am the archetypal nice bloke who tries to find good in everyone, but I have to say that he is one of the most obnoxious people I have ever met.

1985 .. my birth year. I never thought I'd make it this far. I'd like to thank my mum, dad, nan and grandad. And all who have contributed to this thread.

I think 1999 is going to be a big year?

I have arrived into the world

1985 - After moving out of London, we decided to buy our first house. We scraped together £1,000 as a deposit and approached Abbey National for a mortgage. They told us we had not been with them for two years and therefore could not qualify with them. I rang the guy who we were buying it from, apologised about having to pull out and explained the situation to him.
The next day I got a 'phone call from the PA of the Regional Manager of a 'local' building society telling me that Mr B******* had arranged a mortgage account for us in the Peterborough branch and that if I took my deposit there in the next four hours and opeed an account, the mortgage would be approved.

It was the RM who was selling, and we duly signed up to a 25 year mortgage for the then huge amount of £19,500 for a large four bedroomed detached house in a leafy suburb of the city. It sounds daft now, but we had real worries about whether we could afford it!

And he didn't like Monday's either

I hoep that's it and he genuinely doesn't think they've done a great job.

There is a random bunch of people that attribute 2005-2013 to them. Despite most of the groundwork being laid before they arrived and most obviously Fergie and Gill running the show.

Even the quadrants expansion was all planned and underway before they completed the takeover.

This makes me feel ill. I could have twenty four-bedroom houses for the price of my apartment.

That success was in spite of them, in fact without them leeching off the club. SAF would have won even more between 2008-2013.

What is Jassim bid price and structure for his 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th bid? Was PSG chairman contacted after Jassim 4th bid and then Jassim made his final bid in response?

What is Ratcliffe bid price and structure for his 1st, 2nd and 3rd bid?

Basically I want short summary of that Info for Jasim and Ratcliffe bid price and installment structure.

Yeah, I know. I’m just saying it gets attributed as success in the Glazer-era.

Jamie Jackson on both.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe is prepared for Manchester United’s protracted potential sale to enter the new season if required and is putting no timeframe on when the Glazers need to make a decision.

Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad al-Thani has become frustrated at the length of the Manchester United sale process. He is unsure about the Glazer family’s intent to sell.

Rooney was very well paid even past his sell by date. Hes not gonna bite the hand that fed him

Remember when the FT editor was so exasperated by JJ takeover news update that he basically tweeted that it wasn’t true?

I can't even remember the FT editor guys name. He was just living off his employer's reputation.

Sheikh Jassim’s levels of frustration are rising on a daily basis. It’s like an active volcano just waiting to erupt.

More about how many times can journos type "unsure about the Glazer's intent to sell" across weeks to gain traffic despite their being no news to gain traffic. It's a game of who blinks first, Qatar or the Glazers.

It's a load of guesswork by Jamie. I think we all pretty much figured out that there is a strong possibility of there being no conclusion to this process before the new season starts in mere weeks. Consequently, Jimmy Rat is prepared for this and the Sheikh is questioning the Glazers' intentions. What a bombshell by Jamie.

I’m not sure he ever made a comment on the takeover other than being amazed by takeover nonsense on Twitter right after reading a Jamie Jackson update?

Could've sworn he also reported something about the Qataris being close at that time. I thought that's why he tweeted, because he was upset at being contradicted.

Doesn't sound like anybody is pulling their bid anytime soon though.

In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if there was an increased bid at some point.
