Club Sale | It’s done!

They've actually been pretty disrespectful to them,

The world's smallest violin for the Qatari regime.

grace in this whole scenario is that the other class A shareholders can sue the Glazers if they don't accept the 100% sale, so it makes the situation a lot more palatable knowing that they'll be gone soon.

The Class A shareholders have done nothing but grow fat on United's misery as much as the Glazers, the only reason they're suing is because they are losing coin.

We really should not be pretending they are some sort of benevolent front.

I'd imagine the current hold-up is A&J Glazer waiting to see if they can get around it. They haven't hired Rothschild for no reason. Waiting to see what SJR can do to keep them in.

Worst case scenario is the Qataris offering six billion but those two holding out for more and more, awairing a Qatari withdrawal so the Class A bloodsuckers can go spit.

Jim bidding for all of the club is far more palatable than the option that keeps the Glazers around

Sure that's possible. But it's starting to feel like the Glazers aren't just simply trying to bleed the Qataris dry. They've actually been pretty disrespectful to them, and making them desperate. Imo.
Worse allowing them to use local news Outlets to say deal is done only to be rebuked later, this is highly embarrassing for Qatar as well as it is for Bloomberg and Reuters, only the Glazers could piss so many parties off in selling of a football club.

If SJ Father was indeed in USA trying to finalise a deal, and then the Glazers continue to dither, I only see one outcome, SJ and 92 Foundation will pull out as they’ve been disrespected throughout the process, Jimmy new bid is probably only for 80% as he was struggling to bid for 69% and that’s going to cost him probably £4.8bn for 80% to be competitive after a £6.2bn 6th and final bid comes in from SJ and even for that the Glazers staying will want a significant say and input especially on board matters, a marriage made in hell will be the inevitable outcome of Jimmy Boy, Joel and Avram in charge ?

I do admire you all managing to prolong this conversation without there actually being anything remotely to talk about. Just leave it until an announcement comes

I got rudely told to "piss off" for suggesting that this thread should be closed and take a sabbatical!

I think there are a few posters on here that offer an insight into the workings of corporate finance and the psychology behind the Glazers etc. However, the majority of people quoting the likes of Ben Jacobs (and others ) are hanging onto the words of crocks of crap.

Pexbo is well known for throwing his (not inconsiderable) weight around.

He often loiters around Lou Macari’s chippy offering people out if they don’t have a vintage Sharp Utd shirt on, and if they do have one on he tries to kiss them, passionately.

He’s well known for it.

Maybe we wake up some day with a new owner. But it really feels like this has all died off

For someone whining about prolonging a conversation, you don't half prolong it yourself by making up things that no one has done in days (e.g. Ben Jacobs tweets).

Pexbo had it spot on with that response.

In England, Enoch Powell makes his infamous 'Rivers of Blood' speech which led to his dismissal from the shadow cabinet. The 'I'm Backing Britain' campaign takes off led by Prime Minister Harold Wilson. The campaign was interesting in that workers were encouraged to work more hours for no overtime pay - in some cases no pay - in order to stimulate the economy. Pop stars and film stars were recruited and catchy ads were aired on the TV and at the cinema but it was later deemed not to be a great success,

In London, hundreds were arrested at a massive demonstration outside the US Embassy in Grosvenor Square. 5p and 10p coins are introduced in the run-up to full decimalization of British Currency.

Question (just from idle curiosity really) to those who know more about the legalities of these things...

If Qatar gets fed up and withdraws their bid, can the Class A shareholders still sue the Glazers for not accepting it whilst on the table, or does that scenario only present itself if they accept the less attractive bid from two available?

I've had enough of it all mate.

Also Berbaclass...

May be something from Bloomberg/Reuters incoming according to Sir Nick

Trying to act like he's over it and everyone should move on too, but secretly he's been hitting F5 on his Twitter search for 'Qatar MUFC' all this time, waiting for some news

You’ve probably posted more on here than me in the last 2/3 weeks. I’ve pretty much disengaged with it all. I’m still allowed to drop in if and when I please

I reckon @Moriarty will be challenging you for that top replies spot by the time this thread reaches its conclusion. I'm just here for the history lesson at this point!

It's pretty amazing to me how little dignity these Glazer cnuts have. They must be some of the most reviled owners in the history of Sport itself, it's quite impressive when you think about it. Clinging on for every single last penny they can get out of the deal, the despicable. parasitic piece of sh*t fecks!

What if an intentional delay of each day averages out to be 10-20 million quid per day when it's all said & done.... Would you do it if you were a Glazer?

I'd take my ill gotten winnings and feck off

I can describe the feeling of seeing them stay. It is a mixture of disgust, anger and frustration.

Not if you think you can squeeze another couple of million (or more) out of the two bidders.

Greed blinds most people including ourselves. Just look at casinos. Few walk away when we are way ahead.

Once you've got 5 billion it will only be natural for you to think you can get 6 billion. Then 8 billion.

At least we are still getting transfers done early.

It was always in the cards. All clubs would have allocated the transfer window budget last summer or at least six months ago. Scenario planning.
The issue would have been how big (or not as in the current scenario) could we have gone if we had new owners come in.

It's strange to see everyone dropping interest in this. Looks like the Glazers are going to get one over us fans again.

1969: the year man first set foot on the moon. Which at this rate will probably end up happening again before the club is sold.
