Mustafa is a known football commentator in Qatar, He is saying that from all the circulating news in Qatar that everything is done but will be announced after the final.

Can we not post dodgy sources - being a commentator in Qatar doesn't cut it.

Richard Keys is a known football commentator in the UK. Just saying.

He’s a legit guy? Has he said anything about this before? Should be an interesting Monday…

I hope something concrete happens soon. The FT piece from yesterday is only reporting about a proposal put forth by Jim Ratcliffe and they've also mentioned that there's no guarantee of anything. We don't know the full picture yet and the tweet below from the person who authored the FT piece tells me, nothing has changed as far as the reporting on the potential takeover is concerned.

So Ratcliffe's proposal is to keep the Glazers on board and that's what's being reported in a little bit more detail. Nothing has changed as far as I'm concerned and hopefully something more substantial comes out after the Cup final.

Maybe, but Keys is not in the circle. There is a known circle of commentators and journalists that share the Majles program. Everything in Qatar related sports news passes through them. If you want to make fun of it go ahead. But I am not ignoring them.

Does anyone actually know the last time Bryan Glazer actually went to a United game? This fella turns up even less than Avram and Joel. Baffling. Hopefully just trying to savour a piece of the ownership before it's sold.

He goes to every Tampa game home and away [and runs it rather well] if I recall. Man Utd isn't really his baby. Not his fault his dad left him 1/6th of the club. Probably just a nice day out for him.

He is not a journalists, but he works in Al-KAAS and they know almost anything football related going on in Qatar.

They are dodgy, because they will not have exclusive information to a multi billion pounds deal. They also have a vested interest to promote the Qatar bid over anything else.
Qatari media much more likely to know information about the Qatar side. Dont see you moaning when Western Media posts positive stuff about Ratcliffe.

Off course he will have interest to promote Qatar. I am not putting all my eggs in his basket. But he is not an ITK, he rarely write anything news related. He just posted out of his interest in the club as a united supporter and as his position in the football circle in Qatar.

What does cut it?

For you: Being a random Twitter account with 500 followers acting like they know what's going on behind the scenes.

What doesn't cut it for you are reports from the Financial Times, though. You are very quick to discredit updates from the media, especially ones that cast doubt over your daddy sheikh.

Ever since the news broke on Apr 28 that Qatar got outbid by Ineos, you've been living in denial. Someone could probably write a psychological thesis on the type of confirmation bias you've been showing in this thread.

Il moan when it's a commentator.
Commentators have no business knowing inside information about huge financial deals in football, it doesn't matter where they are from.

Or I don't believe everything reported by the (agenda driven) media.

This guy actually looks normal unlike the others. I wonder if the milkman was providing special deliveries about 9 months before he was born?
They all look relatively normal except for Avi who looks like he crawled out from under a bridge.

Special kind of stupidity and lack of self awareness to bring your entire family to a game where there will be vocal and loud protests against their very name sung.

I still can’t get my head around how the Qatari state worth hundreds of billions would back out over small change for them. I have said it a few times but Utd are the ultimate sports washing dream. The dick swinging contest in the gulf states would be another factor. They would love to get one over on City and Newcastles owners.
I think its more to do with their business reputation. If they appear to cave in and pay over the odds then that might set a bad precedent for future business dealings since this takeover has been so publically drawn out. Its a balancing act of purchasing the club without looking like they had their pants pulled down.

On the other hand, the Qataris have a lot of pride so if they feel they are being messed about then I wouldnt be surprised if they did just buy another club.

for some reason facebook is disabled....when you say done, do you mean the Qataris were succesful with their bid?

Qatar will win the bid, unless the glazers decide otherwise, then sir Jim will win it.

Interesting that Avram or Joel hasn’t showed up…

Considering the reports are that they wanted to stay out of all the siblings….

This guy is literally just here as a face from the family, and if there wasn’t a sale process happening none of them would be here.

Avram is there

Why are you acting like this here? Calling people asslickers, 'daddy sheikh', doing the psychological angle now etc.

The pro Ratcliffe brigade take the morale high ground as well apparently and are above name calling and immature insults.

Acting like what? @Berbaclass told me I was "in the mud" after the 4th bid from Jassim came in.

I'm rightfully gonna be insufferable when it's looking like Ineos are still in the lead.
