You are summarizing one of the reasons of why I think Qatar is preferable to SJR.

I’m seriously tired of $hitty dominance, and I seriously think the only way we can immediately compete and stop them is with Qatar money.

SJR is preferable to the leeches, but Jassim is preferable to Rattcliffe. His track record with Nice is something that scares me.

Yet his cycling team are the best in the world

Mark Goldbridge made an excellent argument yesterday. He thinks that the Glazers are delaying till the end of the season to avoid protests later on. Which suggest that the deal will not be to the fans liking. Which suggest a deal which would see the Glazers in bed with Ratcliffe.

Ugh let’s hope we get a clean sale and don’t have to deal with their nonsense any further.

I'm squinting but somehow it just doesn't look like real words...

Yeah, it's a possibility, I guess. There are still two home games that we could screw with if sufficiently angered.

I know right?

I genuinely see nothing that excites me with the SJR deal. INEOS are incompetent football club owners, it will keep/increase the debt, it will keep the Glazers in and there's no tangible commitment of improving the infrastructure. I'd rather see the Glazers staying on present terms (knowing that they lack the finances to keep the club for long) rather then have this deal with the devil.

Only reason they haven't announced anything yet is because they haven't made any decision yet .

Most of the times things are fairly straight forward there are no hidden agendas or deeper meaning .

Who's paying you?

Look mainstream journalism is siding @gajender. Ornstein himself stated that no one knows exactly what is going on and he's, in my opinion, the only tier 1 journalist left. However I won't be surprised if the Glazers pull a fast one like that to us.

Ratcliffe's trust in Brailsford has created all the problems from what I've read. Brailsford's been making the decisions and the result is that they've had a very poor season.

Brailsford's decision to hire Iain Moody to sign players for Nice in the summer window of 2022, whilst keeping the head coach Favre in the dark about who they were signing and how they fit into Favre's play style, ultimately cost Favre his job. That's without going into Moody's history of being a racist and homophobe.

The latest news is that they're extending Ramsey's contract against the wishes of the Sporting director they hired from Lens.
I thought only the qataris were of that ilk. So on top of being a terrible owner of two football clubs, he hires racists and homophobes.

Sorry if it was posted already

CRISIS AT NICE: FANS PROTEST AS CAPTAIN DANTE CRITICISES CLUB’S MANAGEMENT

OGC Nice fans made their discontent felt on Sunday. The Allianz Riviera was sparsely populated as Les Aiglons drew 0-0 against Toulouse, whilst club captain Dante was critical of the club’s management this season, particularly the summer transfer window.

The club’s two major Ultras groups announced prior to Sunday’s match against Toulouse that they would be on strike during the match. The Populaire Sud, known for there fervent and often firey support of Le Gym were the first to announce their strike, and the North Side joined the movement on Saturday in what is the largest display of supporter discontent of the INEOS regime

Not just Brailsford but also his brother bob. He was involved in both lausanne and nice. In both cases they had tanked. I find his trust towards Brailsford. We laugh at the Glazers for sticking to Woodward. However Woodward has his uses (ie he could play around debt like a pro). What the hell does Brailsford bring to the table to keep on being involved in football so much? Ffs it's not even his sport

If the Glazers are worried about protests maybe they are going to sell fully to Qatar.

It's a joke. You say there are no hidden agendas or deeper meaning, I accuse you of having a hidden agenda. Everybody laughs.
Ok , Well most fans agenda is fairly transparent we want to get rid of Glazer's and personally I don't mind who ever are the new Owners as long as they run United competently .

Because truth to be told United despite several years of mismanagement are still fully capable of getting amongst the Elites within 3 years due to it's size and revenues it generates under competent management . So bring on the changes and let the new era begin .

I believe this whole media coverage is making this process seem more tedious and longer than it is , coupled with the fact we desperately want to see back of Glazer's it's becoming frustrating but the timeline isn't unusual or lengthy .

Yeah, it certainly doesn't help that said media fed us estimates on how long the process would take and they massively understated how long an ordeal we were in for.

So you prefer having someone with no track record or expertise whatsoever to someone who has some experience?

It's a bit of a shit argument because the fans will protest massively next season if they have to.
Glazers are businessmen. The likelihood is they are waiting for a new 6bn offer, or close to (already up from 5.5bn).

They have Jassim over a barrel and they know it. These briefs of them being unsure is just to smoke out the bid. I think Ratcliff is just being used as a pawn too.

If Ratcliffe comes in and sign Harry Kane and Declan Rice then the majority of fans will give him a chance

He just reads the Cafe.

Exact same point I made on here probably over a month ago, and again a few days ago

I'm not sure there any deal which a section of the fan base will not like, sadly, if MG said that i agree with him

until SJ calls their bluff and bids for another PL team at the same time !

He’s probably @devilish :smirk:
Selling the club is the same as any other thing they have done, all protracted hot air and click bait, the. We’ll end up with Glazers and American investment bank, aka Wout up top. It wouldn’t take any YouTuber much effort to come up with that argument.

If they want to stay, they will stay. Why can't some people understand that?
Ok assume Joel and Avram stay;

1. 20% no controlling power, no decisions they can only offer advice and hope the club is successful, SJR won’t listen to one thing they say!

2. Qatar will buy another EPL team and in 2 years that Team like Newcastle and City will occupy 3 of the 5 CL spaces allotted by then.

3. SJR owned team with Cycle people in charge maybe even more incompetent than the Glazers who you would hope after 18 years gave sone understanding of Soccer in this country. United, Villa, Spurs, Liverpool, Arsenal now competing for 2 CL spaces

4. The stadium is not renovated, the debt left the club stands still, the shares drop, they still have guaranteed price at year 3 or year 4 but what would their cash have looked like had they invested the lump sum tax free that the sheikh had promised 3-4 years ago, SJR then moves the registration of the club from Cayman Islands to the UK and now they are subject to 15% capital gains tax on their 20% shares and they can’t do one thing about it !

5. The Glazers want to play a cricket game in Qatar with their IPL Franchise to raise money, like other IPL teams but they are blocked

6. The Glazers ask the Qatari for an NFL game in Middle East but again blocked

7. The Glazers want to stay in Clarridges for a meet with SJR in London but the hotel won’t accept their credit card

In short the Qataris will be the worst business losers ever, I would not be surprised that if the Glazers even try to fly into the Middle East or through it for connecting flights, that they banned indefinitely if they turn down the Qatari bid, they want more money it’s simple however SJ might say to his people one more bid of £5.8bn if they say no, we ruin them and guess what it couldn’t happen to nicer People !

This all ends with an Apprentice-style “ I’ve decided to leave the process” from the Sheikh. “I’m going to focus my energies on becoming Essex’s number one mobile tanning van. This isn’t the last you’ve seen of me”.

Plus it's the glazers... We should have known better

Ratcliff will get a chance regardless because he'd be coming in as a new owner.
