We need fecking Qatar. City's dominance is unbearable. Cant take more years of this shit.
Completely agree and I know it's wrong

Jasman
Good luck finding any potential owner squeaky clean with billions to invest.Don't give a flying crap. We sell our soul to mask awful rights abusers we will never get it back.
It's actually quite worrying how many people are so willing to accept that just for the chance to win a few oil funded trophies.
If Qatar were a squeaky clean country they wouldn't even be interested in us. Says it all.
Good luck finding any potential owner squeaky clean with billions to invest.
Is Ineos a better owner for United? A company actively destroying the planet? Greenwashing or sportswashing, take your pick?
By what mechanism? Ineos are offering more per share than Qatar?

“undecided on various contenders”
There’s only been two main contenders from the beginning - Jassim & Ratcliffe. Not sure who these other “various contenders” are?
Becoming more & more of a laughing stock each day.
God forbid we get Qatar money and end up like Man City in a few years. Dominating Madrid 4-0 in a champs league semi and on course for a treble. Not sure I’d sleep at night..
At 5.5b for 69% wouldn't that be 4b for 51%?By what mechanism? Ineos are offering more per share than Qatar?
No chance. My dad and grandad are the reason I support United and that would be the same if it were Maidstone United instead of Manchester United. If you were born a good few years later you would probably already be a City fan. As would hundreds of others on this forum.
This club isn't just about winning. It means more to people than just that. If that's the only way to consistently win now in the PL then the sport is finished anyway.
Who wants to watch Middle Eastern countries have who has the longest you know what contest?
Qatar did say they wouldn't be fecked over. Maybe they have reached their limit? Is it daddies money he's spending? Maybe dad has said "look jassim, 6 billion max, an NO MORE!!, Now get to your room.." or something along those lines.
That's fair given what we've heard so far, I just think Utd are a completely different animal to Nice and I'm sure he knows fine well that the scrutiny of owning Utd means he won't get away with it.

The twitter rumors now is that The Glazers are happy with the Qatar offer, which Avram and Jassim discussed. Ratcliffe has been offered the chance to match/beat. If not it will be Qatar.

Depends entirely on what the Glazers value. If it's a quick/clean deal and liquidity now then the Qatar offer is far more attractive potentially despite being relatively pretty similar in terms of outright value. That wouldn't make much sense. The Ineos bid is reportedly still larger than the Qatar bid, so Ineos don't need to do anything to match/beat it.
The 'strict' laws that the big business set themselves? However, respect your view, a very mature response. This argument has been done to death already and it's always completely destroyed.
If you think a company like INEOS, that are subject to strict laws on almost everything, is remotely the same to what happens in Qatar you're a gullible fool or just plain ignorant most likely.
By joining them, that's the simple fact which a lot of people find hard to swallow. No chance. My dad and grandad are the reason I support United and that would be the same if it were Maidstone United instead of Manchester United.
I suppose the response your post is, how exactly does anyone compete with what City are doing, what Newcastle will inevitably do?
I think if United were to obtain super wealth, it would be fitting of the size, stature and history of the club. As long as we acted within the rules I’d be very happy with that.
What happens when they match it? Round 5 of bidding ?The twitter rumors now is that The Glazers are happy with the Qatar offer, which Avram and Jassim discussed. Ratcliffe has been offered the chance to match/beat. If not it will be Qatar.
Well that was my point. I’d rather join them and compete. Worth mentioning though that as far as we are aware Newcastle have committed 0 rules breaches so far (maybe the whole state ownership thing but nothing in what city have done just yet).By joining them, that's the simple fact which a lot of people find hard to swallow.
EPL is basically a playground for the super rich so it's going to happen whether you like it not, Glazer, FA, Goverment, ect... don't care as this is what makes the world go round.

Or get us back to competing for the PL/CL.Admire people who want Ratcliffe to get club that think he will actually clear the debt
Where is the proof that Qatar money gives you a treble? PSG?God forbid we get Qatar money and end up like Man City in a few years. Dominating Madrid 4-0 in a champs league semi and on course for a treble. Not sure I’d sleep at night..
No one has actually proved anything that City have done yet either, at the moment they are just allegations, I'm sure they will be found guilty of something, but then we all though Greenwood would be found guilty as well and look how that turned outWell that was my point. They have an example to look at in France and still choose to keep their head buried in the sand.Or get us back to competing for the PL/CL.
Where is the proof that Qatar money gives you a treble? PSG?
Easily. We'll go past 2000.Are we reaching 1500?
A lot of people completely unnecessarily bringing that name up of late. Far as I'm aware it's still very much discouraged. No one has actually proved anything that City have done yet either, at the moment they are just allegations, I'm sure they will be found guilty of something, but then we all though Greenwood would be found guilty as well and look how that turned out
Apparently Qatar is no better because PSG haven’t won the CL yet. I guess we might as well be the English Nice instead of PSG then..They have an example to look at in France and still choose to keep their head buried in the sand.
When did PSG become a European Giant? What exactly have they done to earn this? Atletico since PSG take over have achieved much more in Europe than PSG and no one is calling them a European giant.PSG had won the league once in their history before Qatar. They were an absolute shit club who probably most famous achievement for 20 years prior was having Ronaldinho play for them.
They took a small club and made them a European giant in a few years, they don’t have a CL trophy to show for it that’s true but neither do City and they’ve been one of the best club sides for the last 10 years.
Meanwhile Sir droopy bollocks owns 2 clubs one was relegated under his ownership and the other is looking at a bottom half finish in France.
If the Glazers aren’t willing to part with 100% of their shares, INEOS with an operating majority is still significantly better for us than what we have now.
Qatar could be good, but we’d be another sportswashing project with similar question marks over our success as City have right now.

It‘s ok to want Qatar without exaggerating and pretending that a treble would be normal under them when there is no proof for it.
Out of the 3 oil clubs Chelsea, City and PSG, PSG have been by far the worst in Europe while Chelsea have been the best. Chelsea immediately after their takeover started reaching CL semi finals regularly and mostly going out by close margins, penalty shootout in the final, etc. before winning it 10 years after takeover. City are now 15 years since takeover but at least in the last few years they started reaching semi finals regularly while dominating the best league in the world (plus cheating).
PSG‘s (who also had FFP issues) financial advantage to the rest of their league is much bigger than Chelsea’s or City‘s to the other PL teams.
In Europe PSG keep bottling it. Qatar has established nothing but an expensive unbalanced squad: no play style, no structure on the pitch, no balance, no composure, no fight, weak mentality.
And currently 12 years after takeover they seem as far away from the CL trophy as ever. If I had to bet which big club is going to win the CL last (including us) I would bet on PSG.
As for Ratcliffe, I don’t see people losing their mind about winning trebles with him. But I see people acting all the time as if City like success would be guaranteed under Qatar.
Nice don’t have close to the financial advantage PSG have. I mean one has Neymar, Messi, Mbappe plus a lot of other expensive clowns and the other is Nice.Meanwhile nice are 10th in the same league qatar has been dominating. They also got lausanne relegated twice
