If you were born a good few years later you would probably already be a City fan. As would hundreds of others on this forum.
This club isn't just about winning. It means more to people than just that. If that's the only way to consistently win now in the PL then the sport is finished anyway.

The twitter rumors now is that The Glazers are happy with the Qatar offer, which Avram and Jassim discussed. Ratcliffe has been offered the chance to match/beat. If not it will be Qatar.
Sad thing is I think he WOULD get away with it. If the Glazers have taught us anything it’s that at the end of the day the owner can do whatever the feck they want and we are powerless past a certain point to do anything about it. We can protest sure, but the only thing that will really affect a bad owners decision making is if it starts hurting their wallet, and United is so huge in that regard that it would take years of spectacular failure for that to really show up
No. The reported £5.6bn figure of Qatar's offer yesterday morning includes £800m of investment, which means they are valuing the club at c.£4.8bn. The Ineos 3rd round offer reportedly values the club at just over £5bn.
Nobody is offering anything close to £5.5bn for 69% of the club - that would value United at an insane £8bn. We wouldn't even be having this conversation - a deal would have been done months ago.

Depends entirely on what the Glazers value. If it's a quick/clean deal and liquidity now then the Qatar offer is far more attractive potentially despite being relatively pretty similar in terms of outright value.

PSG had won the league once in their history before Qatar. They were an absolute shit club who probably most famous achievement for 20 years prior was having Ronaldinho play for them.
They took a small club and made them a European giant in a few years, they don’t have a CL trophy to show for it that’s true but neither do City and they’ve been one of the best club sides for the last 10 years.

Out of the 3 oil clubs Chelsea, City and PSG, PSG have been by far the worst in Europe while Chelsea have been the best. Chelsea immediately after their takeover started reaching CL semi finals regularly and mostly going out by close margins, penalty shootout in the final, etc. before winning it 10 years after takeover. City are now 15 years since takeover but at least in the last few years they started reaching semi finals regularly while dominating the best league in the world (plus cheating).
PSG‘s (who also had FFP issues) financial advantage to the rest of their league is much bigger than Chelsea’s or City‘s to the other PL teams.
In Europe PSG keep bottling it. Qatar has established nothing but an expensive unbalanced squad: no play style, no structure on the pitch, no balance, no composure, no fight, weak mentality.
And currently 12 years after takeover they seem as far away from the CL trophy as ever. If I had to bet which big club is going to win the CL last (including us) I would bet on PSG.

Nice don’t have close to the financial advantage PSG have. I mean one has Neymar, Messi, Mbappe plus a lot of other expensive clowns and the other is Nice.
And again no one is claiming Ratcliffe would win us a treble. Whereas pro Qatar people are convinced everything will be rosy. Honestly whenever I think of PSG I automatically think that’s not how I would like United to be managed (and that started way before we were even for sale).
