It’s just one sub. You pay for what you want. It’s an excellent idea. It's down to their greed. Why should anyone pay 4 subscriptions to watch his team playing live week in week out?

Not possible.I have a feeling Jassim if he wins, is going to negotiate with the PL man utd's own games to be streamed via Bein/man utd app if the PL starts its own streaming service.
Not possible.

That's all well and good until you end up with noone to play against.I agree. Honestly I'd like to pay a subscription for MUTV and we watch all our games there with Man united negotiating the away games on our behalf. I can't care less about watching crystal Palace vs West ham

No one will watch the smaller clubs.
It’s one of the major obstacles. 16 out of 20 clubs have to vote for it. Until you get a sharing formula that the smaller clubs are happy with, it’s not going to happen. The only downside is that the less popular clubs will be in a vicious cycle of not being able to compete.
Clubs like united arsenal and Liverpool have been the reverse RM and Barca where we are subsidising the other clubs instead of getting paid more than others. (Its the popularity of these clubs that pulling the other clubs along.)

I don’t know if it is a negotiation. It’s against the rules and to change the rules, you need at least 15 other teams to vote your way.Exactly. Every negotiation starts with a no.
That threat is effectively dead.Maybe the threat of a European super league will make them more reasonable
That threat is effectively dead.
Wishing you all the best. Hope everything goes well.Hope to hear something next week.

Not in Europe. If the new owners make way more money playing European clubs then English ones then they might flip especially clubs like our with their huge debt. Let's see the EPL making money with a Palace vs West ham game then
That’s only because the likes of Barca and Juventus are desperate for cash. Barca in particular. Serie A also has its own issues.
The concept is dead to English clubs though for now.

If Real, Barca, juve, inter and Milan switch then clubs will have to make their homework especially if the money involved dwarfs that made by the EPL. Then you might have an argument between the big guns and the EPL some of the former literally owned by sovreign nations while others by huge US investors eith probable ties with the white house. Would saudi, Qatar and the UAE be happy with the UK saying no?
I can see a similar scenario to what we had in the European cup/WC with British clubs entering late in the competition. Hopefully we don't see another farce Cup being created like the carling cup
No one would watch a ESL without the Prem clubs. Since the PL is already a super league it won't happen. Let's hope we stay away.
This is the same fantastic logic Madrid and barca used to keep all tv money for themselves for so many years, has worked out brilliantly for la Liga hasn't it.They will still money from the away games. I fail to understand why so much money is spent on smaller clubs. Some can't even be bothered to play attractive football
The EPL is popular but so are clubs like Real and Barca. Ultimately money talks. It always did
For whom? The other PL clubs? Why would they show an interest?
I am referring to fan bases which translate to money
Probably because you’d end up with leagues like Germany, France and Spain, uncompetitiv!!They will still money from the away games. I fail to understand why so much money is spent on smaller clubs. Some can't even be bothered to play attractive football
Exactly this. The conversation on the last couple of pages is depressing. The reason the PL is what it is the equal distribution of money.
Change that and the league becomes shite, which is a fast track to a Super League. The money clubs like United earn has to be shared or it'll become another farmer's league and then what's the point.
Coming from a former British colony and having travelled to many others, I think some underestimate the interest in the English game for cultural reasons. If Real, Barca, juve, inter and Milan switch then clubs will have to make their homework especially if the money involved dwarfs that made by the EPL. I can see a similar scenario to what we had in the European cup/WC with British clubs entering late in the competition. Alternatively the EPL tv deal will need to be renegotiated to put more money in the pockets of those who feed every one
Hopefully we don't see another farce Cup being created like the carling cup
The same people who want this were against the European super league. They will still money from the away games. I fail to understand why so much money is spent on smaller clubs. Some can't even be bothered to play attractive football

Impressive how quiet it's been. Biggest 'news' in weeks was a reporter announcing Ratcliffe hired someone who he has worked with throughout the entire process and attended the Old Trafford visit.
Its a natural progression of an antiquated business model -- moving towards a sharing economy where you cut out the middleman. The technology has been there for nearly a decade.
This will either force the traditional broadcasters to pay up more (to the PL) without raising the monthly subs and use Football as a loss leader for their other programmes or they will have to be some outsource partner to the PL where they provide their TV production or bandwidth/infra expertise.
Imagine only just 10 million United fans around the world (out of supposedly 400 million global fans) paying $10/mo (or more) to watch all of United's matches. Do the math.
This will be the longtail pitch the Glazers will offer Jassion/INEOS. No need for the Super League.
Is there a chance the PL put a cap on money distributed to the clubs in case this goes through?
Well, nothing wrong with winning at all costs as long as winning means something. If we'll be winners in the equivalent of an Audi Cup league, who cares and then I'd move on to other sports. The win at all costs mentality sickens me
