Club ownership | Senior management team talk

Absolute hypocrisy of Ineos too, flogging as much adidas original stuff as they can the last year. Remember the past and nostalgia to make money, but forget about football standards on the pitch that fans hold the club too. You can't have it both ways, stop talking and deliver on recruitment to help this team.

Genuinely clownish briefing.

Under Sir Alex we had an identity and a clear way of playing.

Maybe not everyone would have bought Tony V but we did because Sir Alex knew exactly what qualities he wanted in his wide players.

There was an idea and a cohesiveness to everything at the club.

Where's the idea behind talking up a 'game model' only to ditch it to go in seemingly the opposite direction?

Nothing to learn...

Someone explain to me how the quote above matches with picking Amorim to coach our current squad, knowing our current finances make it pretty much impossible to refresh the squad. Please.

We were promised best in class and cohesive planning. Instead we've continued to lurch from one thing to another.

The performance of a business reflects its direction at the top. What we're seeing right now is the culmination of terrible decisions, a few big ones from Ineos in there included.

I’ve been bringing this up a lot lately, it is clear as day that there was a power struggle between Berrada and Ashworth and the non footballing guy pulled rank and won over the guy in charge of the footballing department.

Whilst at City it’s known Berrada was high on Amorim so pushed hard for him whilst Ashworth wanted Frank or Howe or RVN to be interim til the end of the season if neither of those two were attainable.

What was meant to happen was Ashworth implement the structure and run things from the top whilst a style of play and identity was to be implemented from the first team down to the academies whilst scouting and recruitment would focus on bringing in players of all ages to play that style.

Brailsford and Berrada effectively made Ashworth’s decisions so Ashworth left or was moved on and now Ineos are completely winging it and repeating the mistakes of the past where everything tactically and identity wise is decided by the coach rather than the coach play the set identity of the club.
SJR is obviously a smart man. I think he will learn from his mistakes. I dont think Amorim will last beyond the end of the season.

There is no point in getting rid now, but theres no way they will give him money and decision making based on the performances so far.

I think they will have a more attacking 433/4231 manager lined up.
You mean exactly like Ashworth wanted us to do ? Ineos have no one to blame but themselves for how this season has gone after dithering on ETH, extending his contract, giving him £180 million, sacking him a few weeks later, ignoring Ashworth on the successor, allowing Berrada to dictate and decide the successor against Ashworth’s advice, let Ashworth go, bring Amorim in knowing his set system then not back Amorim in January.

I’m guessing Amorim fits the style they have decided to play and implement via recruitment. It says style not formation which what everyone focuses on too much.

I also assume that if the players don’t fit the style then you don’t want to keep them or employ a manger to fit them. Could argue that if they went out and appointed a manager to fit the players that actually undermines what that quote says.

Whether or not have now implementing some consistent approach we will have to wait and see, total guesswork at this stage.

He'll tear down the Munich clock, melt down the statues, rename the stands, sell off the replica trophies and eradicate our history. It'll be 'Year Zero' for United. This bald cnut can do one.
My god, we have somehow managed to become even more unlikable with arrival of the likes Ratcliffe and Brailsford.

Wasn’t Ratcliffe pitch about making United win the league and CL AGAIN ?

A common theme with Ratcliffe is exploiting people’s emotions to get what he wants and then abandoning it once he’s gotten what he wanted.

INEOS / Ratcliffe pitch was heavily based on our past success and their ability to take us back to our best.

Our shared ambition is clear: we all want to see Manchester United back where we belong, at the very top of English, European and world football

Other than SAF & SMB when have United been at the top of English & European football.

We are ambitious and highly competitive and would want to invest in Manchester United to make them the number one club in the world once again”
“We want a Manchester United anchored in its proud history and roots in the north west of England, putting the Manchester back into Manchester United and clearly focusing on winning the Champions League”

Literally his entire pitch and promise was based on our past success and bringing us back to that level.

Ineos are like the opposition party. Labour promised us this and won’t do that, just like Ratcliffes mob. That is until they get into power and basically make us worse off. It’s a big wake up call from the inside than what you perceive from the outside.

If anyone needs to understand the cost cutting necessary currently, we have £300 million outstanding transfer payments as a significant part of the close ro £1 billion debt . The treacherous Glazers obviously are responsible for the cost of borrowing using the club as security, and the awful transfer business undertaken by Woodward and also mismanaged particularly by ETH has seen the massive issue confronting the club, and it seems INEOS have to fix it

Somehow the club needs to get back to a sound financial footing. That’s going to be difficult to achieve as the leeches have no desire to sell , happy to see blame moved to INEOS while still pilfering dividends. Not sure there is anyone that will buy the club at the overvalued price the Yankie dicks want, so probably a year or 2 of restructuring the cash flow, and that could have us on the path to better times, until the debt and costs are controlled then FFP will inhibit what we need to do.

Mate. Holding two thoughts inside your head at once would blow your mind.

It is.

Like Labour, Ineos cannot come in, wave a magic wand and pretend the previous administration did not happen.

It's utter folly to think so, but tell that to career-minded journalists in need of a steady, hot scoop or an audience whom, in the majority of cases, want you to fail out of nothing more than a sadly cultivated tribalism.

Its Nice all over again.

So, as I understand that we are screwed and there is no light at the end of the tunnel?

Any ideas what the fanbase can do to change it? Or just keeping it in the forum?

I have no information what's the stance of bigger fanclubs, which organise the banners, the chants etc etc - are they in Redcafe as well? Do you have a regular chat with them on these topics?

Because if there is dissatisfaction with the board, the club, then it must be made heard as well. Otherwise the discussion here is pointless as it doesn't bring any change. When there actually is a chance to make it.

I don't live in the UK, don't attend the games as I live abroad and hence won't have a voice to make heard or the reasonable possibility to attend the protests, the events and so on. I won't support the club by buying stuff from the store and so on, it's what I can do.

Instead of endless conversation here, maybe start gathering the crowd and organise the protests? Really, that makes the difference. Pressure INEOS and Glazers as long as it takes. Get the bodies behind the cause and things start to happen. Organise.

Its Nice all over again.
The report also ads that “some blame SAF” for the club not moving forward since he retired. They are getting worse & worse. They are just the muscle for the Glazers.
