Club Ownership | INEOS responsible for the football side

These next 4 games are no reason to bring in a interim manager. Much better to have INEOS carefully evaluate their options and get it right, hopefully!, in mid-June than to bring on the chaos of an interim manager for matches that make no difference in anyway whatsoever to our preparations for next season.

Whether we trust INEOS to get it right is another matter, but what choice do we have but to trust that they will?
"Stability with me or chaos with Ed Miliband" vibes from this.

Is anyone really that surprised? My expectation was always that regardless of results theyd most likely keep Ten Hag till the end of season. Some of the executives they are after and want hasnt started working and changing things now will affect what happens next season. Ideally they want a lot of time and options to consider and preferrably with feedbacks from the new team.

Thank you Joel Glazer @glacierman and Ed Woodward @Woodzy for always sacking managers when they failed to get CL football.

You showed your ambition and set down a marker that anything less was unacceptable and below standard

Unfortunately @jim Ratcliffe and Omar Berrada @OmarUnited4ever lack the ambition you had and are happy to accept mediocrity

And @Dan-Utd is still on his gardening leave when our club is sinking. Its bang out of order. Where is Roy keane @horsechoker when you need him. The club needs to grow a pair.

I was in the Sheikh Jassim In camp, as the promise was to clear out all debt and spend whatever it took to rebuild the infrastructure and even, if I recall correctly, invest in the local community, but the Glazers refused to sell the club outright so here we are. And concerns about the consequences of ownership by the sheikh were not entirely unfounded. I have my doubts about the ability of INEOS to return United to where it belongs but we don't have much of a choice but to hope for the best. We have to give them some space to make the best decisions they can make rather than immediately reacting to a string of humiliations.

Not sacking him now is absolutely the right approach. I think he needs to be gone, this season has been a disgrace on so many levels. But having an emotional response to the latest result is not the sign I am looking for in club leadership. I will judge the new structure based on what happens during the close season.

We should all make sure to tell Souness, Craig Burnley and Jamie Carragher they are former Man Utd players - after all they have been the most vocal critics. IIRC Souness and Burnley called for him to be sacked after his second game in charge.

I still want to keep ETH and see how it works with new management.

Are you serious? He has put out a team that is destined for failure in the last match and you want to keep him. Why is all his CB and LB injured all season? Can someone tell me why? Where are the U-23, U-21, U-18 CB? Do you mean we have zero CB over all aged group in United?

But yet when it came to Ole and his similar rubbish results, the club had to give him more time but once it's not someone that's part of their mates club, yeah rubbish, get out! I'm all for clearing deadwood but they are becoming a joke when it suits their agenda

Kambwala?

While I’m optimistic about what the future holds they have made in my eyes a few mistakes so far

Not making a decision on Ten Hag, ie. either back or sack has just killed the season stone dead when we were in a position to make something of it.

If you say to the dressing room this guys job is on the line and the players want him out it’s very easy for them to down tools and get rid. He’s had nearly two seasons to prove if he is good enough or not or fits their vision, a decision should have been acted on already without the need to further “audition” him

The brief to the press about all players being up for sale was ludicrous as well - potentially demoralising even those players who have done alright and worked hard this season like Bruno and Dalot. How is that sensible to leak when the season isn’t yet finished and there’s still stuff to play for?

By all accounts SJR had also been vocal about Casemiro being a bad signing - a player who is our only option at DM and therefore integral to the starting eleven, why would you alienate him in this way?

Finally the back to office, untidy working environment comms to staff came across as really out of touch nonsense, adding to this image of SJR as an aged brexit voting Tory. He may believe all that stuff which he is entitled to, but you have to be smarter with managing PR internal and external.

The moves they’re making with Wilcox etc are very promising and I think will pay off but they need to be more careful about their comms, much of it is having a negative rather than positive impact and displays a bit of naivety that wouldn’t be out of place under a Woodward regime.

This shit really annoyed me. We'd all work so much better if we were in the office - btw I'm fecking off to Monaco for half the year. He is 71 though, so I'm not really surprised.

Nonsense, ETH has had it easier than Ole. The press never ask tough questions and even Neville has been caught under ETH's spell saying he needs more time.

I think there are some benefits but if that's his approach, expect to seem a number disillusioned staff members. Email traffic statistics also is a pretty poor measure of productivity, so I expect that some important context and nuance is missing from these tweets.

A lot of our fans are in copium mode with "structure" and ownership.
Inter changes ownerships every few weeks and they win titles regulary and played CL final last year while we wont even qualify for EL.
And you dont need fecking 10 chefs to cook a egg. EtH is fecking disaster and if he stays beyond today, Ineos is here for the money. Or in other news, rich man wants to get richer.

Makes zero sense considering it would take multiple lifetimes to make back what he’s put in.

INEOS dwarf United in revenue.
