CL Semi-Finals 13/14 - April 22,23,29,30

All I know is he likes to book players. Wouldn't be surprised to see a lot of yellows tonight.

Absolutely correct mate. And i hope both managers did their homeworks regarding that. Like i said, technically he is one of the best refs in the world (also has very competent assistants), the problem is his ref style. Center of attention, whistles too much sometimes and is too keen to book players.

How many of our players are in danger of missing the final?

If you can bet on Sérgio Ramos getting booked, go for it. Doubt he won´t get a yellow card.

How many of our players are in danger of missing the final?

Bayern München:
Mandzukic

Real Madrid:
Illarramendi, Alonso and Ramos

Other players missing, at least for today:

Bayern München:
Starke, Badstuber, Shaqiri, Thiago, Weihrauch, Höjbjerg

Real Madrid:
Arbeloa, Khedira, Jese

Thanks. Not too worried about the yellow cards then.

Like Outlaw mentioned only Mandzukic is in danger, I wonder if we could see Pizaro starting.

@Sly In a way that might be helpful as I'm sure Pepe at least will try his utmost to waste as much time as possible.

One thing to clarify here, I have no intention of defending Pep, but I have to say that this notion that Bayern of this year is not as good as last year's is completely unfounded in my eyes. They won their league even more easily than in the previous season. Now, in the CL, after a club wins that god damn trophy, everyone facing them the following season, is super-motivated, and super-prepared. All the big clubs of Europe become willing to play defensively against you, and no one will blame them. Especially if a team wins in impressive fashion, like Barca and Bayern did, then the following season, opponents are willing to concede their inferiority and try everything in the book to ruin your game, this makes it 10 times harder. This is one of the main reasons why no club has ever retained the CL.

Another thing. I heard many people accusing Bayern and Pep after their 1-0 defeat to Real. Shit like this does my nuts in. People judging games only by the result. Bayern were awesome for long periods of the game. In the first 15mns especially, they had Madrid pinned right back in front of their goalposts. It was breathtaking to watch at times. People also forget here, that Real Madrid are also one hell of a team, and they can certainly beat anyone on their home turf. They could have easily, just as well beaten last year's Bayern. No team is invincible in football.

Im basing it more on their overall performances, especially in the knockouts, its not nearly as dominating and powerful as it was last season.

Im not saying they arent still a top top side, but I think this year in europe they can be got at, all of Arsenal, City and United showed this, but out of the 4 EPL teams we would be the best and most experienced to beat them.

I think there's little doubt that Bayern pissing the league doing handstands has affected their form.

Although no 'superstar player' is in danger of missing the final, I wish they would remove all previous yellow cards once teams get to the semi-final stage. It's unfortunate for players to miss the final if they pick up an innocuous yellow card.

Well Xabi Alonso and Ramos would be a big miss! Koke for tomorrow also is only one yellow away from missing a potential final.

I think there's little doubt that Bayern pissing the league doing handstands has affected their form.

Also the quality in depth of the BL is fairly dire considering the second best team hasnt had the best of seasons, and has had some awful results, their third best got thrashed 6-0 over 2 legs by Chelsea and their forth best got thrashed 9-2 by United over 2 legs. I think Bayern have become very top heavy in that division now.

If it means, Ramos can't live out his full cuntishness today, I like the rule.

Line up FCB / Aufstellung:
Neuer - Dante, Ribéry, Mandzukić, Robben, Boateng, Lahm (C), Müller, Alaba, Schweinsteiger, Kroos |

Good to see Lahm at RB instead of Rafinha, maybe I would have preferred Javi in DM though.

And Real with Bale, Benzema and Ronaldo. This should be a great game.

Bayern fans must be happy with that line-up. More of a 4-2-3-1 that they're accustomed to under Heynckes.

Real could regret those chances missed in the first leg. Should be a great game, reckon Madrid sneak through on away goals.

Guardiola's got over his stupid look-at-me tinkering and actually played the best RB in the world at RB. Groundbreaking stuff.

Kinda worried about our defence. 2 years ago we played them with Gustavo in midfield, last year we played with Martinez. This time we play completely without a DM (Kroos). Even Dortmund played with a real 6 (Kirch).

Think Madrid will go through on away goals, 2-1 to Bayern. They'll be up 2-0 at some point.

Because Madrid in the final would make for a much more exciting game for any neutral. Bayern is so dull to watch. It's not even great football like Barca was. It's just fecking boring sideways passing not even trying to make chances.

Very adventurous team put out by pep tonight. Although martinez instead of kroos probably wouldve been a better bet. This team is similar to the side they had last season and this past weekend they played like they used to last season. It seems as though pep has come to the conclusion that perhaps his way isn't the way to go about this.
