No. If anything it made it even more meaningful. It took them a nation, greatest ever manager, couple of billions plus 115 breaches in the law to do what we did 25 years ago. Puts things into perspective. And best part is nobody is bothered about it too, people are talking about how arsenal bottled it, and how klopp going to get back on the race literally the same day these tin pots made a treble. TREBLE and people are talking about arsenal and liverpool next year.
When the dippers wont the league*, there were Liverpool products credit cards and sponsorships, banners and radio calls was pouring here in Malaysian and singapore. I haven't met a single city jersey anywhere yet.

When qatar comes in, the same will happen to us. At least we have something to look back and reminisce. City victories is although similiar, it must have felt hollow, artifical and flavorless.

Khaldoon can laugh at the PL's 115 charges now. We hope to hear his "strong view" on these charges once City is found guilty. I can't wait for karma to bit his ass.
 
While Man Utd is struggling with FFP, City is looking at a few 100M player like Rice, Gvardiol. Does it really make sense considering Man Utd have much more fanbase worldwide and a commercial juggernaut in world football?

City only have their owner inflating and pumping sponsors money into the club. Aren't these obvious to PL? City also have revenues surpassed clubs like Man Utd and Real Madrid now ffs.

They just won a treble, loads of money from various sources coming in off the back of that. They can spend what they like this year.

This is the issue with the punishments taking so long - by the time the punishment comes in they won't give a flying feck. Unless the PL actually shows some backbone and kicks them out the league for a prolonged period what can they really do to hurt them?

Nothing, they've become too big a problem to sort out. The PL don't have the clout to do anything to them.

Nope, isn’t clean. They’re refusing to release the accounts from 2018 (I think)which is part of their charges so recent money isn’t even clean

No, that's also a simplistic interpretation, especially considering some of the charges relate to beyond the 10 years at the heart of the 115. But essentially they have put themselves in a strong position, by cheating.

the Premier League said that City have breached rules that called for them to provide “accurate financial information that gives a true and fair view of the club’s financial position, in particular with respect to its revenue (including sponsorship revenue), its related parties and its operating costs.”

They broke all the rules in the book to get where they're now, winning treble. But I still not convinced that their revenues now surpassed Man Utd and Real Madrid. It's their owners using dodgy ways to pump money into the club and their dodgy accounts.

"The club are also alleged to have breached league rules requiring member clubs to co-operate with and assist the Premier League with its investigations, from December 2018 to date."
 
I wonder if even the most dim-witted, deluded City fan actually thinks they have higher revenues than United. Outside of prize money obviously!

We have no power or input into who will buy the club and what will happen, but having seen United win every trophy possible in my lifetime legitimately, I can’t imagine that I or many other United fans would ignore the evidence in front of our eyes if this situation was reversed under Qatar.

I’ll hold my hands up now and say that if we get bought by Qatar, I would like their maximum ‘gift’ to be upgrading the stadium, training ground and clearing the debt that the Glazers gifted to the club. That would give us an enormous advantage in itself and I would hope that if they go that far, then they don’t go any further. I believe that beyond that then Manchester United can compete on its own two feet if other clubs adhere to the rules laid out and signed up to.

If they buy the club and run it with massive corruption, the very least I believe you can expect is United fans to question the clubs actions rather than denying and defending against all the evidence stacked in front of our eyes.
 
How on earth can a treble be worth an incremental 300m to a club that won the league last year, went far in both cups etc?

They could break £3bn if they wanted to. Just funnel it from somewhere.
