City and Financial Doping | Charged by PL with numerous FFP breaches | Hearing begins 16th September 2024

And I thought the tactics were our biggest problems until now.

This sounds extremely serious, way worse than the farcical UEFA case that were just as fraudulent in it's own right as they accused us of being.

Absolute c*nts in our administration if any of this is true, and it takes away most of the joy of the last 15 years

Yeah go on, just to hear the rant in his next presser
Would that mean we owe him an apology? Maybe he gets his mojo back and becomes a CL winning manager again.

Jose saying second place was his greatest achievement suddenly aging like fine wine

We kind of do for having Pogba and Martial's number and not backing him on that one.

Also, another PL would help him become the new Newcastle manager in a couple of seasons, and we all want that.

I really wouldn’t want the club to be handed trophies like that though in all seriousness. I’d just leave the title winners for those years vacant

I'd take it, if the second best team was cheated out of a title then surely they're the real winners?

Hopefully -100 points

Next season. This season they aren’t winning the PL anyway

I’ll wait and watch to see whether anything actually comes of this. All the sugar daddy clubs have merrily done whatever they want without any real consequences and this will likely be the same thing.

Simon Jordan getting a bit exposed in TalkSport right now. Normally when he talks about football business it’s matter of fact and it sounds like he knows what he’s talking about.
This City news took him by surprise and it clearly shows since he doesn’t have a clue what’s happening but it’s not stopping him pretending to know what City were obviously thinking, what they factored in etc. only listened to 15 minutes and he was getting schooled by their guest.
Not that important but instances like these really should be highlighted since it shows how convincing people can be when talking absolute shite.

Always found it strange how few football journalists actually talked about City’s finances. Well not that strange really.

I really liked that scene where City's lawyers suit up and say: "It's lawyerin' time!"

And then completely wiped all charges. Chills.

Massive cheats. Stick em in the conference where they belong.

And because UEFA are fraudulent c**ts you should be allowed to do the same. What kind of logic is this?

Indeed. Simon Jordan is a waffle merchant. He talks a lot without saying a great deal.

Are there domestic cups also up for grabs? Does Kane win a medal?

It would be completely pointless, I agree. The squad that was assembled won the league that year, and financial doping shouldn't retrospectively change that. Much better to throw the kitchen sink at them going forward. Might also slow down Saudi Arabia masquerading as Newcastle a bit.
I don't follow. An ill-gotten squad that shouldn't have been allowed to assemble in the first place won league titles; why should they be allowed to keep them?

They should be punished retrospectively and also be actively punished as well given this isn't a first with them.

Just listened to Kaveh on Sky breaking it down. Allegedly broke the rules over 100 times in that 9 year period :wenger: surely its bringing the whole league into disrepute?

Hope Pep fecks off as a result. No more flying from Manchester to London for him.

Any dreams of points deductions, expulsions or stripping of titles won't happen though. When it's all over they will receive a fine and a 1 window transfer ban. You just know it.
If the accusations stick then I can’t see how they don’t throw give them severe punishment. It would basically be saying that breaking the rules set don’t matter and it would make a mockery of the league.
The PL don't need City, if they got rid of them the traditional big teams will take their place, and it would probably be better for the League to have the likes of United, Liverpool and Arsenal at the top anyway.

This is exactly what he is. He will talk confidently around a subject without really getting to a point or judgement. This convinces some that he is an authority.

So could that mean they get stripped of any titles that they've gotten in seasons where they breached the rules (all of them?)?

Barcelona did not break any rules or hide documentation about its economy. The club did nothing illegal and for LaLiga to impose a salary cap the clubs send him all the documentation. Barcelona borrowed for high contracts that coincided with the pandemic. Nothing else.

Are you blindly deluded or just trolling? Anyway, the underlying issues in top level football everywhere are much deeper than cosmetic narratives at local level.
