They always shifted him out wide. I get it that you'd want Eriksen to play in the hole but Gylfi could have been used in central midfield, at least be given a chance. That's where he plays for Iceland now under Lagerbäck and he's never been better. I kind of feel he's better there because his work ethic is a bit wasted behind the striker.Always rated Gylfi. Don't know why he wasn't given more of a chance at Spurs. If we didn't have so many in his position I wouldn't mind him here.
