"Would he get in the Liverpool team?"

:lol::lol::lol:
The most surreal thing is that it's not outlandish. Would liverpool want to risk breaking up a front 3 that scored 88 goals so far with at least 4 games left?

Salad scored half of that. Coutinho got about dozen for them, substract that you can see the goal is not spread out well. Coming against a team who can keep Salah in check then result can be very different. Ronaldo, who can be a threat in crowded box with his aerial ability, which Salah lacks and L'pool has no target man for Salah to play the creator role for. As good as Salah is, it's hard to keep up this scoring rate while Ronaldo has kept his scoring rate for years. If Salah to slow down, then would the other 2 be able to help maintaining this so called great attacking front? I have my doubt.

He could potentially be part of the most successful RM European cup squad in their history. He's never going to walk away from that until he completely declines and is forced to.

End thread/

Even though he keeps producing the goods, the signs of decline are there. What team will take a risk of paying him £600k a week plus the fee to RM, when you could end up in a Rooney situation in a year or two?

Look at how ineffective he was against Bayern in a rare game where Real lost the midfield battle.

He would be like that in a lot of United games.

And I don't want Lukaku on the bench in a Rashford-Martial situation to make way for the bigger name and stop his development...yeah, Ronaldo's time here was great but all good things need to come to an end, the fans need to let it go.

Only scenario where Ronaldo's ineffective is in Barcelona fans' hypotheticals. Remember when the only reason Ronaldo was effective was because he had Ozil putting chances on a plate for him? It was never the other way around...

When was the last time Madrid's midfield even played a great game of football? Have they done it once for the whole season? I geniunely can't remember one single great game, can you?

Now that's extremely unlikely. If he stays until 2021 he'll have 4 chances to win it twice(including this season) to match the record, three times to beat it

A few this season. Plenty last season. Generally speaking Cristiano does tend to play badly when the whole team does. Like virtually every other player

Would you rate the competitions the same way or do you think it's harder to win it now than it was to in it the 50s?

One thing to say he plays worse when the rest of the team plays badly, it's another to say he'd be ineffective in a lot of games if he was playing for United because that's what happens when the midfield fails to control the game. He's been great for a Portugal team with 0 gameplan but he'd struggle at United for some reason.

Wouldn’t even have him back for a £5m let alone £50m. Don’t want him back here thanks, the circus is better off in Madrid.
You wouldn't want a player who has scored 43 goals in his last 35 Champions League games for £5m?

It's harder now, which is why i don't think this team has a real chance to win more than Di Stefano's. Might match at best which would be an incredible achievement

Exactly

Beyond the fact there is literally no credible link whatsoever, it’s an old report anyway that for some reason was bumped
Would you go back and read the reason I bumped it. Same for everyone querying

There is no new rumour about him joining United so stop getting your knickers in a twist.

I merely wanted to know from the people in this thread who were totally against him coming back because he was ‘past it’, have they changed their little minds yet?

He isn’t good enough for us anymore, nor is Bale.. he wouldn’t be able to hack the Premier League either, too physical, too fast, too demanding week-in-week-out for someone his age. Plus I wouldn’t want Ronnie to tarnish his legacy here.

I’m sick of these rumours every few months, it’s obvious his agent uses us for more cash in hand.

It's not like there's nothing to talk about. There is a chance he'll move somewhere at some point in the next few seasons.

Surely that’s more of a football forum topic than a transfer thread topic? I don’t see why other threads get locked because the sources are bs, and this is open when there isn’t even any new sources in the first place.

It’ll be closed again soon. Since you don’t want to talk about it why not move along to a new thread rather than sticking your oar in?
Merely want to know if people in THIS thread stand by their opinions. Why is that hard to grasp? Am I typing Chinese?

He would never cost £5m, my point is just that we need to move on. He’s been using us for years in contract negotiations and the club is so different to the one he left. Everyone has moved on and the past is the past.

  • Do not bump up transfer threads if that player has performed well or bad. Do that in the football forum, this is strictly related to speculation.
I didn’t make the rules

Christ, who cares about the not bumping threads? Everyone does it, no?

If you can't see why it was bumped then you might need help. Ronaldo was shit at the start of the season and a lot of people (including myself) thought he was finished. Now that he's tearing it up how is it a surprise people bump that same thread?

So you’re saying the thread was bumped due to his performances and not anything transfer related?

That is literally against the forum rule I just posted.

Am I going crazy or is this not the transfer forum? Where we discuss, you know, credible transfers with sound sources? We have enough Ronaldo threads in the football forum to discuss the fact his performances have improved over the year

Ah sorry, my bad. Didn't realize it was the transfer forum. Always use that new post feature.

A bit offtopic, but i have been to spain twice and UK three times, i'd easily chose UK if i had to move to one of them.
I will never understand why people think living in 30 degrees celsius ++ is such a great thing.
Too hot, too dry, and i doubt the quality of living in Spain is higher than in England.
This, I live somewhere that's 30C+ at least half the year and absolutely hate it.

I grew up in north western Norway, we're known (in Norway) for alot of rain and wind, i mean, when i grew up, i was used to always get wet on my tighs first.
I moved to Bergen (which is common for people in western Norway, to study etc), the last 3 years, we had over 270 days of rain, each year.
I'm so used to it, that for me it's the norm... it rains, it's just how my life is.
For people in northern Europe, i don't think the weather will affect their choice, i mean... if you are from Norway, Finland, Latvia, Holland,(etc) you'd have no problems with the rain, if you could sign for a top club in the world.
An African or South American player, might think differently, though.
But how someone from the UK, thinks that playing in Spain is great, i will never know.... i have seen Brits on the beach in southern Europe, and they look like they're in horrible pain from sunburn (or what it's called in English)

Yea, I don't get the British obsession with the sun. In my uni days (in London), you see everyone rush to the park when the sun is out and I always thought that was quite strange.

Anyway, let's not sidetrack this thread any more, even though it's one of the most pointless threads here.

Have to laugh at the people who say he isn't good enough for us, after spending the fest half of the season in poor form its not inconceivable he might finish top scorer in la liga this year.
