Do it! Then buy Tiote.

Step away.

There is literally no where for him to play at either of those clubs. Each of them has over 9000 attacking midfielders. That doesn't stop players often, but moving to either one now and not getting any time on the pitch would be bad for him.

I can understand the young players' desire to play for the likes of Barcelona but shouldn't they be a bit more realistic? At this point in time Ericksen will be polishing the bench at Barca, just like many others before him.

He's much better off going to one of the top PL clubs where he'll get more playing time and will be able to progress further.

He's already pissed with Chelsea and Arsenal though apparently from everything that's been in the media over the past year or so. His father said something to that effect, I think.

Besides, he could hang out with Anders Lindegaard, who by all means seems to be an awesome guy.

I think he's going to be class but long term I'd see him on the left as opposed to the centre.

Can also play with both feet if I'm not mistaken?

He'll end up at Barca or Madrid.

He won't end up at either. If he moves, he will move either to Italy or England.

At Barcelona, they have their midfield options well stocked with Villa, Pedro and Iniesta, Sanchez on the wings with Cesc, Xavi, Busquets, Keita, Thiago in central midfield and they can use Iniesta, Sanchez and Mascherano there as well. They just recently gave a contract extension to Thiago's brother, Rafinha or Rafael. They are already preparing their next wave of midfield talents from withing their academy. Even though he likes Barca, there is no way he is going to start there. It is not realistic.

Madrid are looking at better options. They are looking at the likes of Hazard who quite frankly is better and will suit their style of play. Hazard has openly said he wants to play only for Madrid and that is looking like an inevitable transfer. Even City will not be able to compete with the name that is Real Madrid.

The little I've seen of Eriksen he's nearly always impressed - looked a lot meatier last time up as well. Still doesn't address your CM issues though.

I think overtime he has the potential to become better that he could fit into our midfield and could be the answer. He would be the cheaper option so as to speak when compared to the likes of Götze or Hazard.

He will probably end up like Anderson or something and then turn him into a defensive midfielder. United gets it right with defenders and wingers, but just don't know how to play or fit attacking midfielders into the team

Eriksen has refused leaving Ajax because he wants to develop his game at a great set up where he always gets to play. I think his head it screwed on correctly.

This is based on what exactly?

 not sure how anyone can come to this conclusion about whats wrong with Anderson.

He plays in Rooney's position but he'd be good for a wide position, like how City and Chelsea have Silva/Mata coming in as playmakers from wide positions. But yeah it's more important to get a CM first.

Manchester United have been dealt a reported blow in their pursuit of Christian Eriksen.

The Danish sensation has been linked with a handful of clubs across Europe, with teams from Spain, Italy and England all showing an interest in the Ajax teenager.

Sir Alex Ferguson has led the chase from the Barclays Premier League, but Catalunya Radio reports that player agent Martin Schoots has met with Barca sports director Andoni Zubizarreta to discuss the player's situation.

so Eriksen to Barca's bench and Gotze to Madrids bench.

I often wonder why these clubs aren't interested in one of our CMs instead. I mean, I can see Fletcher or Anderson competing for a first team place with the likes of Xavi, Iniesta, Sahin and Ozil.

Just caught my first glimpse of him VIA YouTube and while I know that doesn't give a true reflection of performances, he does look like quite a talent.

Barcelona don't need him when they have five or six players in his position already but they seem to be willing to invest money on the best available talents at the time, as proven in the Summer, possibly in order to avoid stagnation. Wise from them to move forward from an excellent position they're already in, I can only imagine how good their team is going to be if they keep their policy intact.

I would like him to go there for a simple reason that it'd prevent him from joining City and Chelsea where he could thrive given his talent. Same as I want Gotze to join Madrid as I fear City could pick him up eventually.

That's United fecked then.

We wouldn't sign Gotze anyway, and I don't think we could compete for Eriksen either seeing as he's supposed to be wanted by half of Europe and I don't really think we are after a midfielder (although I could see us buying him, just think it's unlikely).

He will be in a unique league as Zidane, Messi or Ronaldo, imho. Or maybe I am just overhyping the boy :nervous:

You never know, his talent is great but I'm not sure he can reach the heights of Messi or Ronnie!

I think him and Sanchez will be dominating Europe in a few years.

IMHO, he will be the next big thing but of course, you dont have a guarantee at all. But, the way they talk about him in Germany is different to any other player in the last 20 years and he is playing so very well already.

About Sanchez, i am not so sure yet. Moving to Barca might not have been the smartest move

Sanchez has yet to get a run in th team due to his injury so we'll see.

Means that in two years players like Sanchez or possibly Pedro will be available cheaper. Players like that don't wanna be benchwarmers. A paycheck doesn't stop that.

They have Özil and Kaka as well. Which class are they in?

Kaka hasn't been that good for a while and they accommodate Ozil and Gotze in the same team just as Germans do. Or they can sell Ozil to United although he's a midfielder so that would require us to lift an embargo we currently have on midfielders.

Kaka has been good. What do you mean. He's the reason Özil isn't a definite starter. He's been good this season and at the very end of last season.
