Christian Eriksen | Man Utd player

Very good squad signing for depth and gives us a #10 that can legitimately back up Bruno so he doesn't have to play every single match but can also play along side him when we face teams like today that sit in a deep two banks of 4

Some are weird on here.
He's a versatile attacking midfielder that has been playing deeper recently.
City literally have Foden and Bernardo Silva alternating between midfielder and winger. They have wingers and attacking midfielders playing as striker at times. Eriksen is literally the perfect player for this. In big games, he can move to the flanks if need be, but can also play deeper in games against the majority of the league. If Bruno is unfit or injured, he can move into the no. 10 role. Even Bruno can move to the flanks in specific games.

It's pretty funny too as we have always done this. Giggs and scholes alternating between second striker and flanks. Solksjaer on the flanks or striker. Ronaldo and Rooney moving across the front line.

Just hope no fecking health issues now. It was probably just bad luck in the Euro, but I am no expert. It should be fine since he has played now for 5 months roughly.

My danish United fan friends like this a lot.

Guessing he'll be Brunos back up and van de Beek is going to be rotated as #8.

From Malacia to Eriksen.
Does anyone see a pattern here? Malacia causes Eriksen and that's a fact.

Unless I'm mistaken, he's talking about Eriksen here and that all but confirms that he is unvaccinated, whether for medical reasons or otherwise:

Great signing, fabulous footballing brain and very well grounded.

Very odd given we are there for over a week still.

Makes sense tbf, the jet lag is a bitch. It's a solid days travel and then another nearly to fully recover only to do the same back a few days later?

There's still players around Carrington to meet and train with.

I'd say they'll meet up with the team a day or so prior to the Oslo friendly vs Athletic.

Spare a thought for Thomas Frank you heartless bastards.
I do genuinely feel for Brentford, they did a massive favor for Eriksen and it's sad for them that he's leaving, but he's too good for them. He probably kept them in the Premiere League and that should be the focus, they got a top quality player that contributed massively, but he had to move on to his level.

Hope he has a decent preseason, and we should be trying to get him a starting place. We have gotten a midfielder of a very high calibre.

They won't be training with Ten Hag, Mitchell or Schteve though, and the sooner they can get integrated to EtH style the better, even if they didn't play, they should go for that week of working under EtH.

Not really. ETH will have a plan set out to give the young lads minutes as he mentioned in his post match interview today. Why mess that up? A week is not long enough for him to fly out and get up to speed. Really is a great signing. Very exited by this.
Takes a day to travel and arguably another 2 days or so to get over jet lag and be ready for training etc probably not deemed worth it's for these reasons I'd imagine

Yep you’re all right I’ve had a mare, didn’t factor the jet lag in whatsoever. My bad.

Could this see Bruno play a more deeper role, I remember his manager at Sporting said he was not a '10' more of a deeper midfield role but not a holding midfielder. More of an '8' which he now has on his back anyway?
I'll try to find the comments...

Amazing that those twitter muppetier blokes got it right yet again

But Eriksen should have been a Manchester United player long ago. He just seems right for us.

Great to have him on board and finally we have a midfielder who can pass the ball.

He's a good football player. Though, for me, the mentality and professionality he will be bring is just as important. Great signing.

Calling out a surprise for everyone now. Eriksen will take Bruno’s place.
United don't have enough technical ability, or ability altogether, in midfield.

I think he'll play both together more often than we think, with Eriksen dropping deeper than he played at Spurs.

He's a very good player, but I don't really understand where he'll play? Unless the idea is to use him as a rotation option with Bruno (but then what happens to Donny?).
