What's his physique like, I haven't seen much of him to be honest.
Yeah, but it's not necessarily a sign that a youngster is near first team selection.Well the fact he is training with them is positive

Yeah, but it's not necessarily a sign that a youngster is near first team selection.
Academy kids of various abilities get some opportunities to train with the first team - sometimes it's because they're close to selection, but other times it's just for experience for the youngsters as they develop, other times it's because the first team are low on numbers (or a certain position is) and they're just there to make up the numbers.
In that article, Amorim explains it as: "We had some problems this week. We called some players to be in our training so we have the data and evaluation and he is one of them."
That description sounds more like the third option, really. That some of the youngsters were there because of lower numbers (I assume 'problems' means missing senior players, worryingly).
Hopefully not, and Obi was there because he's deemed close to consideration. Time will tell.
Chido's middle name isn't Mikel though.
Hopefully they don’t. I know the crowd usually give our youngsters time to shine. The thing is though he doesn’t even have to be at his 100% best to be able to overtake hojlund and zirkzee. The standards aren’t exactly high for him because of his competition. How long until the CAF turns on him?
There’s no u23’s any longer , he played twice with the u21’s most recently last Friday v Spurs . He got an assist I thinkHas he played with the U-23's yet? Big jump straight from the U-18's to senior football, especially when you are talking about throwing him in a highly dysfunctional, underperforming side.
I don't really see it with him but prepared to be proved wrong - at the moment he just looks like somebody who is physically able to dominate at this level.

Yeah, I was checking those competitions as I knew he'd appeared in some of those games as well. He also came on as a sub v Sparta Prague so that's a 5th U21 appearance.Four U21s appearances in total if I'm not mistaken. He played against FC Nordsjælland and Oldham too, scored in both games.
How long until the CAF turns on him?
Needs must. Give them all a try. No expectations.
If others move up as well it will help ease the pressure. That's the key if he does well great, if he looks like he needs more time then he'll take a lesson from it.
There shouldn't be an expectation that every youth promoted nails it first time. It should be a case of bouncing between youth and the first team until they outgrow the youth.
Based on how Hojlund is playing recently I'd imagine he will get at least 10 mins. Finally makes the first team matchday squad...will it be as unused sub though come FT, we shall see.
I’d imagine he’ll come on since there’s no other options on the bench and no chance both Zirkzee and Hojlund last 90 mins. Finally makes the first team matchday squad...will it be as unused sub though come FT, we shall see.
Unfortunately lots of fans don’t see it that way. He’d get thrown to the lions soon enoughNeeds must. Give them all a try. No expectations.
Redknapp just called him out as 6ft 4would love to see him come on. Didnt know he was 6ft 2 already at 17. Do you grow much beyond 17? Doubtful but good height nonetheless.
I'll be pretty surprised if he doesn't come on. Amorim's bloody compulsive about using all his subs and it's not like he has many other options.would love to see him come on. Didnt know he was 6ft 2 already at 17. Do you grow much beyond 17? Doubtful but good height nonetheless.
Redknapp just called him out as 6ft 4![]()
I'm not sure, to me he did look taller than 6ft2 and heights for youth players are notoriously unreliable.thats why I googled his height. I called bullshit the minute he spoke!

Total waste of an opportunity for Amorim. Had the perfect chance to experiment with a few youngsters under no expectations given injuries/illnesses and flunked it. Why bother even bringing him on for three minutes. Felt him, Moorehouse and Kone could have been brought on given the performances of Hojlund and Garnacho and that Casemiro was on a yellow from early on.
