Chelsea vs. Manchester United

We should keep Fabio simply for spare Rafael parts.

Reports of Moyes being injured.
lol

Actually, Rafael travelled with the squad so hopefully bullshit.

Isn't Evans out injured as well?

I'd say we're looking at:

De Gea

Valencia
Smalling
Jones
Evra

Januzaj
Kagawa
Welbeck

Hernandez

Wonder if Rafael is out, that it might be a recurrence of his last injury. He did play 2 full games in 4 days when he just came back again. Smalling at right back with Valencia on the wing is very bad news for us.

I know our midfield is shit but you're taking the micky here.

I've never been so certain that a United side will lose a match.

If we get anything, anything at all, from this, Moyes should get a stand named after him.

Hard fought draw or a lose for us. cant see us winning this, especially with the injuries we have :(

So if everyone who we have been told is out is out....

---------------De Gea---------------
Smalling---Jones---Evans---Evra
-------Carrick--------Fletcher-------
--------------Cleverley--------------
Januzaj-------Welbeck-------Kagawa

Subs: Lindegaard, Lingard, Valencia, Hernandez, Buttner, ???, ???

Evans might be out, Jones isn't definitely back, De Gea might be injured too.

If Moyes was going for a more defensive mindset the full backs wouldn't have been bombing on all that much anyway, so whilst it is indeed disappointing about Rafael the impact in an attacking sense might not be so terrible [Smalling is steady enough from a defensive standpoint]. It could also increase the chances of Januzaj being on the right if Smalling won't be venturing over the halfway line at will.

A three man midfield should offer the CBs a helping hand.

In short, the likely tactical disposition of the team means that we can probably absorb Raf's absence better than otherwise.

Get the midfield right and we'll be in the fight today.

A test for Rio potentially although a three man midfield could offer the CBs a helping hand.

Eh? Rio is injured and would never be picked for this game even if he wasn't.

If we have enough CBs I'd play Smalling at RB if Rafa is out. I'd genuinely play Fabio there today, before Valencia. Valencia has gone to sleep quite a few times in our own third this season and tends to foul quite a bit and I wouldn't hold much confidence with him defending 1 vs 1 on a yellow.

Is Fabio still suspended? Not that it makes much difference i guess.

Rafael isn't out. BBC made a mistake by saying he's suspended, when they meant Fabio.

Rafael isn't out according to BBC

They're just saying he's banned......but they're idiots......Fabio is banned and not Rafael

Ideal!

Think so. Straight red for violent conduct is three games.

Thought so. If Rafael, Jones and Fletcher are all ok to play then we're looking a lot better than i initially thought.

Okay. So Rafa's in. What about Evans? I'd certainly play him if Vidic is out.

De Gea

Rafael
Smalling
Evans
Evra

Carrick
Fletcher
Jones

Valencia
Welbeck
Januzaj

I'd play him if Vidic is fit.

Evans- Smalling has much more suitable tools for looking after Torres, Ba or Eto'o than Vidic does these days.

Yeah, but in our situation you wouldn't want to throw in another half-fit, barely recovered player only for him to get injured again, though.

We'll know the team news in 10 minutes. Quite intrigued by how the Moyes will set us up.

That's Rafa on de Gea's shoulder, I believe. Both travelled.
