I think it will be:
Costa
Hazard--------Willian
Fabregas--Oscar
Matic

...with Ramires getting bunch of minutes in one of the two CM places.
not at the beginning of the season if Brazil and Belgium progress further.
Can see Fabregas being put up in AM until everyone is fully back after WC

Costa is the perfect lump for Mourinho's ugly football.
Costa is a Mourinho-type player. But, Mourinho isn't going to play ugly football at the start of next season - it's a myth that Chelsea played "ugly football" for most/all of last season. He'll stick to the way he played in the first half of last season.

Was this the longest "quick" transfer ever?
not really. By the sounds of it , the deal was tied up weeks ago but as both clubs are into a new financial year it made sense to wait until 1 July to make the deal final and announce it

No, no.

Even though it was obvious we were signing Shaw, we were shite and couldn't do anything right. Where as Chelsea's Costa transfer, even though it was started before and finished later, was clearly the example we should be following about getting business done quickly.

becuase perhaps Soton/Shaw contract allowed to that before July 1st...and perhaps Atletico/Costa not....simple

Best thing for him now is to get a proper rest. He's had a worryingly high amount of muscle injuries recently and rushing back from them didn't help him last season. He's going to do some serious damage if he isn't careful.
