Champions League Semi Finals (24th April - 2nd May)

True that. I made my post more in exasperation and not as an actual question. I was watching that game and you could tell early on in the match that Barca had not approached it with the right attitude. It was reminiscent of the way the great AC Milan lost to La Coruna back in 2004. But that La Coruna had some quality in them. Regardless of what happens in the second half, this Roma side has to be the worst team to have ever reached the CL semis. Can't think of another.

Good call, totally agree

Porto at least had 3 of their best players missing and were in the game until their goalkeeper decided it was enough. Roma are just a whole another level of bad. Probably the worst team to have made it in the CL semi-final.

Won their group with 11 points and a goal difference of 9-6. Barely made it through Shakhtar and got thrashed away to Barca. It's a testament to how bad Barca played in Rome what we are witnessing here.

Roberston, Alexander, Milner, Henderson, Wijaldum, Lovren.

These guys aren't great players, so let us stop with the narrative that you need world class in every position before you can commit to attacking football.

Salah.

You just need one world class player at the top of his form, with a team built around him and a manager who plays to his strengths.

Roma have time to get a vital away goal:p

If we feel sick about the Sevilla loss, just imagine Barca fans watching this!

Don’t think we would’ve beaten Liverpool in their current form.

I just don’t want Madrid winning so hopefully Liverpool tear them a new one in the final.

Heritage hahahaha
Lovren, Milner, Salah, Mane, Arnold, Robertson, Henderson, Chamberlain.
What heritage do those players have in the UCL ?
This. The fans are not stupid. Mourinho simply fecked up. There was no need to come out with shite excuses.

Only hope is Bayern and Real are watching and taking note on what not to do against these feckers. Hopefully they pay the Scouse attack a little more respect.

Oh and Klopp criticising Mourinho for playing long balls in the past against them can clearly feck off. Lump it long to fast forwards all night. Sophisticated stuff indeed. Amazing how such rudimentary tactics seem to have gotten them this far.

PS. Roma might be shit but I’d still take Nainggolan

Milner just fouls time and again. Should have had a yellow earlier since he is just encouraged to keep doing it.

They're the top scorers in the CL and destroyed the favourites 3-0. They are pretty good.
They sure are. But there is no way this is not an anomalous result. Roma have not just been poor, they have been naive.

This game was over before it began

Roma manager played right into Klopp's hands playing 3-5-2 against the 4-3-3

Liverpools goalie is so fking crap as well. It's kinda hilarious he's going to be in the CL final.

Stoke absolutely gutted for Saturday.

Can't see Liverpool playing a massively under strength team anymore. Will probably only rest a couple of players.

The only way this tie isn't over is if Liverpool get SO confident they decide to play Mignolet in the second leg. I can genuinely see him throwing the ball into his own net 6 times in a match :D

The only good thing about this scoreline is that were Roma to pull off a comeback in the 2nd leg it might be the funniest thing to happen ever. Here's to hoping...

It wasn't that long ago that we DID beat them. We just have a manager who knows how not to set his team up like a f*ckwit.

His tactics are indeed far more sophisticated. The whole team movement is outstanding

Wow.. Roma are absolutely terrible tonight. Can't recall since I've seen an italian side defend so loose. Liverpool has earned it though, but feck me this is horrible

for a CL semi Final , this is shocking one of the worst I have ever seen, if Liverpool win this, their fans will be ficking unbearable , all you will hear is 6 times 6 times :mad:
Hahaha I'm glad I don't live anywhere near scouse-land

Valderde does need to take a look at his approach to that second leg, he blew it by being so utterly conservative. On the other hand, we're going to win another Double, so I can live with it.
