I think they are, Van Djik and Klarius have shored up a leaky defence, the team doesn't really have a weakness at the moment. The two young full backs are doing really well too. If they keep their team together and add one or two back ups imo they'll be up there challenging for the league next season with City and hopefully us.
I’ve watched them most season, & tbf, they’ve been solid under Valverde but nothing spectacular. Their dependence and reliance on Messi is staggering. They were going to be found out in Europe - as was predicted on these boards plenty of times - hell, I’m sure Liverpool’s pressing and pace would have caused them plenty of issues.
