Champions League Round of 16 fixtures

The Zlatan curse again?

Left Inter. They won the Ucl next season. Left Barca. They won the Ucl next season. Left Milan.......

Great result. And it seems amazing to think of the mighty AC Milan winning a game at home as a masive upset, but it simply is!

We NEED to put Madrid out now, as if Barcelona do get knocked out it'd blown wide open.

I think that's the exception rather than the rule in this sort of situation. Might have a look at the history and frequency of someone turning a 2-0 around to confirm.

The fact it's possible, and has already happened more than once, doesn't mean it's not unlikely.

Milan's progress is not a certainty though, that's all. With the aforementioned Arsenal game and their 2004 feck-up against Deportivo the club has a certain history in these situations ;)

but yeah, they have a HUGE opportunity.

Don't get ahead of yourselves lads, chances are, Barca will just spank them 4-0 in the return leg.

And if they're not, they'll just get a penalty and a Milan player sent off.

The damn Germans are still in. Won't somebody think of the Germans.

Oh how great it would be to see the two arrogent Spanish giants knocked out at this stage.

Barca fans don't even have a 'they parked the bus' excuse. Milan were very attacking. Barca were toothless.

Don't think they were "very attacking". They just picked their moments to counter well.

Defensively that was incredible from them. The perfect tactics.

We though they'd do that against Chelsea and didn't.They are now up against a 2-0 deficit. The last time they faced that, they didn't make it either

Redknapp really is a moron isn't he? Ruud 'it reminded of Ali against... er who was it...? '. Jimmy Redknapp 'er... Buster Douglas?'.

A game for all those who reckoned Guardiola wasnt anything special and any old twat could manage their squad to glory!

Pep only won the domestic cup with the Barca team closet to the one that played tonight. Barcelona are 12 points clear in their domestic league whilst dropping only 5 points all season.

Redknapp talking crap. They put Pique up top almost anytime they are losing, not often granted, but they do

The work rate shown by the Milan midfield was amazing. Even in the 90th minute, they were all over each Barca player. Messi never got a sniff.

Great result but Barca will go through

really? i'm very impressed by milan's defense

the way they managed messi and iniesta today was sublime

even though is not the first time barcelona gets beaten in the champions league, this is the first time i think that the result didnt depent on luck

remember how they crashed the ball three times against chelsea? and how they were disallowed a valid goal against inter?

this time they where properly beaten

To be honest, it was blown wide open from day one. There was never a clear cut winner. People tried to act like Madrid and Barca were leagues ahead when realistically, they never were. It was always open for Barca, Madrid, Bayern, us, Dortmund and hell even an outside chance of a Juve pulling it off and winning the tournament. I never went into this CL saying "Yeah, this team are the clear favorites".

Gullit laughing and taking the piss out of Redknapp now

What I like about the way Milan defended tonight is that they didn't even need to resort to hacking and tackling the Barca players, they were very disciplined and hardworking.
One could say that it even was better for them that Balotelli wasn't playing because against even the CF needs to defend a lot more than usual and Mario would never do that

The Inter game at the San Siro springs to mind. Despite scoring I thought Jose got his tactics spot on.

If you lose the fear factor in Europe there's always a chance.Chelsea proved that attack at home and resolute defence away can pay dividends
