Champions League Round of 16 fixtures

I think you guys are too hard on Arsenal, this isn't a question of being poor - just of a stronger side making a case for being the team to beat

Nope, as that goal shows Bayern are not invincible. Arsenal were a shambles in that first half in terms of shape and endeavour.

Gordon Strachan is holding this team of pundits together, and you can barely understand his strong Scottish dialect. Chiles ruins football on TV though.

None of the Scottish pundits on British TV have a particularly strong accent, partly due to most of them having spent the bulk of their professional careers in England (Strachan, Souness, Hansen, Nevin, Burley). He's good value though in the studio, bodes well for the Scotland job.

Ah, the first use of the word 'efficient'. Yes, they've been efficient, but they've also played lovely football.

I hated it when they called that side with Matthaus, Klinsman and Hassler 'efficient'

It was efficient. Good physical specimen whose primary attributes were decisionmaking, positioning, technique and outstanding passing and shooting with little to no superfluous flair.

It's great football to me, but a far cry from the samba football of Brazil. It is just more... efficient.

Where would he fit? I think that's the problem with the Kagawa types, their position isn't defined in our formation.

His position is defined. We just don't have a strong midfield to best utilize him. That is why Rooney works better for us in the number 10 position.

Neuer poor on the corner there, not the first time. But hey, it's only ever mentioned when it's De Gea.

Yep Neuer has come 4 times for cross balls and only managed to punch one! Buffon is about 5 mile better than this guy!

Bollocks. Players like Hassler and Klinsman had plenty of flair.

They weren't Brazil but they had a sight more flair than most England sides I've ever seen.

Moutinho's deserved something - based on the few minutes I've seen of course!

He's a sublime player. Systematically our man of the match every game unless someone else does something extraordinary.
