Champions League Round of 16 fixtures

You could also argue Valencia needs a miracle judging by the 1st game to get through.

Everything's open for the other 3, although I don't have a bad feeling about our chances against Real, and so far Porto are clearly the better side against Malaga, so it might just end up 1 for each country after this round.
Meanwhile Germany will have 2 teams almost certainly, with the 3rd one having as good a chance as they could hope for (draw wise) against Galatasaray.

I called it earlier, but it would be great if each country had 1 contestant left in the competition. Most of the teams left would be leading their respective leagues.

naah, just thught they were doing great in the italian league, when in fact, the ones doing it are juventus

:nervous:

they've been in good form lately, climbed up the table.

however much of their last games have been won by Balotelli actualy, and even though he's the TYPE of player that might cause Barca problems he's not eligible to play.
so although I generaly would like to see Barca out I wouldn't mind it if they went ahead in this case, as I bet 50 euros with a friend of mine on who's team will do better (United vs Real or Milan vs Barca).

Oh and....one cannot simply have too much pasta.

I've been watching short bursts of the Oporto Malaga game as well. Whenever I switched on Oporto were playing better than Malaga and Varela was looking better than Isco (they seem to be head to head on the wing). No idea if that's how the whole 45 has been though.

I called it earlier, but it would be great if each country had 1 contestant left in the competition. Most of the teams left would be leading their respective leagues.

If that's the case then I guess it would look something like this:

1x ENG: Man United
1x SPA: Barca
1x ITA: Juve
1x FRA: PSG
1x POR: Porto
3x GER: Bayern, Borussia, Schalke (although this one is questionable as I think Galatasaray stand a chance with Drogba (Schalke isn't doing well in the Bundesliga))

In any case, German teams seem to be really underrated.

Same with Barca, and Bilbao. feck knows how they keep going.

I love New Yorker humour.

Yet, I'm not gay, and watch football, and don't watch subtitled movies from Kazakhstan. Strange.

Gordon Strachan is holding this team of pundits together, and you can barely understand his strong Scottish dialect. Chiles ruins football on TV though.

What is it with TV bosses hiring these 'meant-to-be-witty' type characters who simply aren't funny in any way shape or form, nor have any football knowledge?
