Champions League Round of 16 fixtures

They're up 3-0, apart from the penalty box behaviour you can't really fault much else.

Playing defensive against Barcelona is something completely different than against Celtic. Why play defensive against a team well below your level.

Well they are an Italian team good defending always comes first for them and if that means defending against the weakest team left in the competition with 10 man to get the job done then that's what they'll do.

Celtic had plenty of chances, tbf and Juve's goals have come from defensive mistakes.

It's hardly been some sort of elaborate strategy. This is a tactic inferior teams use more often due to lack of quality.

If they play like this against teams with more clinical finishers or more quality, then they'll get slaughtered as their own defense has looked dodgy too.

In short Celtic may have been a bit dumb, but it has hardly been anything clever from Juve.

It's like you've not watched them play away in the CL this season. They set up similarly against Chelsea, Shahktar and even Nordsjaelland.

That Ambrose defender is a joke of a player. Costs them two goals AND misses a sitter that would have got them back into it.

Blame whoever chose to play him within 48 hours of a major international final in another continent.

It's been defending that pushes the limits of what you can get away with. I remember Inter employing similar tactics against Chelsea at SB. Ruthless, risky but effective. It's in the DNA.

Feel sorry for Celtic getting beat by a better team but not a better club absolute scum bag of a club Juve should have got a serious ban from all European competition after their cheating ways. Could only imagine what would have happened to any of the English teams had they done the same.

I really don't quite get those moaning about Juve's tactics tonight, they scored very early and were happy to sit on it and break at Celtic. 3-0 away from home in the KO stages, I'd take that every day of the week.
A perfect Italian like performance

Stupid from the Celtic coach to play Ambrose. What the hell did he expect him to do ? It's the CL and the guy is barely returning from partying with the Nigerian national team

Juventus have been classy to be fair, didn't give Celtic a sniff, then knocked them out Ali Vs Foreman style.

Yes, the very same team that could have beaten Barcelona if it wasn't for a 90th minute Messi goal. Yup... Sorry, no sympathy for them whatsoever. Juventus absorbed the pressure and scored, which is something Celtic couldn't do. Remember, Juventus scored the away goal so the onus is on Celtic to actually win the tie, and not Juventus.

Celtic attacked and attacked, they took the onus, it didn't work but I'm not sure what your point is? I don't really have sympathy for Celtic apart from the fact that they had to play against this disgusting set up. It's even worse when you consider Juve are fantastic to watch in the league. Flooding forward and dominating the whole pitch. If juve had come and played their usual game it would of been brilliant.

Juventus defended well and were clinical when they needed to be.
Celtic made defensive errors and were toothless up top.

Nothing undeserved here

Why open up after going ahead within 120 seconds of kick off?

Personally think he was just trying to block the ball? He was stretching and missed IMO

It might have been a "disgusting setup", but this setup managed to score the necessary goals to virtually qualify themselves for the next round.

See Pogba's little grin there when he was standing up after being mortally wounded?
