Thats not entirely true. The difference is in intent. GKs of old would make this mistake, sure. But this was made because of intent. He never intended to just clear it because thats considered “poor” these days. I’ve seen ederson and allison make the exact same mistake. DDG does not do that, because he’s not “‘modern” enough.

DDG causes enough goals and chances because he’s not “modern” enough to do simple things like walk a yard off his line.
