Champions League Round of 16 (15th Feb - 16th Mar)

Damian looks like that nice lad who listens to bands like 65DaysofStatic and Converge and smokes weed in-between shifts in the Argos stockroom.

If you’re going to go out, go out fighting, well done Inter..

Touching the ball qualifies as winning it. I’ve argued your point every season I’ve been on here and keep seeing refs looking at slight touches as if flicking it and taking a player down slightly after makes any sense. If the player is still on his feet he just walks on with the ball.
No it doesn’t. And games haven’t been reffed that way in many years.

Ref completely changed his management of the game when inter scored. He completely closed down any chance of Inter coming back.

Over the two legs, hard to argue there was anything between them

It really has. Any slow replay showing slight touches of the ball are waved away.
I think Robertson got away with one against West Ham last week. It’s a pet peeve of mine.

1-0 Inter is probably fair considering how poor we were at times. We need to be better if we want any chance of winning the competition this season.

Bayern look a bit scary.

The red card killed the game, Inter was dominating until Sánchez was sent off.

So lucky Liverpool, they are gonna get Bayern next round... and Muller will get a red card after Bayern dominates 60 minutes.

Dipper luck continues to roll on. Can we get ole to rant about them getting the advantage of soft reds in almost every tricky game ?

Inter were very good. Pool were unlucky to hit woodwork three times. The red card changed the whole game as inter were on top with momentum. Ominous these critical moments keep going Liverpool’s way.

It was our only really good game in the last...well maybe 10 I'd say. And the two early penalties obviously helped immensely.

klopp can run this over the opposition and still not get a red, he'd probably get away with a yellow with dippers screaming it was the first offence.

On penalty decisions I agree. On bookings or red cards though? The follow through always matters whether you touch the ball or not.

Phew thank god for that. Shit performance not the best. Not very good playing against 10 this season, unable to break teams down but also vulnerable on the counter. Salah needs to snap out of his AFCON slump.

You fecker Sanchez for ruining potentially an interesting last 20 minutes, bloody Martinez had to be taken off cos of you.

Bayern have a 2008-09 Klinsmann feel to them. They won 7-1 but then they could've conceded 3 more.

Even in 2009 they beat Sporting Lisbon by a similar margin, but then got destroyed by the first decent team they faced (Barcelona).

Have a feeling something similar will happen when they face a big team this time out as well, they are really open at the back.
