Champions League Round of 16 (15th Feb - 16th Mar)

They should only re-draw 4 teams, that would've been the right way to do it

Is it though? Probabilities are linked so the moment they made one mistake it has knock-on effects on subsequent draws.
Easiest thing to do would have been to redo it all, or start again from the first mistake

This quote will go down in history, and made that last lap that much worse!

Classic quote but man, even as a Max fan as exhilarating as that final lap was…the more time that passes since the race the more it feels like an asterisk. Masi has to get fired.

Was about to make an utter meltdown post, about corruption with City, Chelsea and Juventus. Would have made me look a right idiot considering what’s just happened

Come the redraw:
Salzburg vs City
Chelsea vs Lille
Villarreal vs Liverpool
Benfica vs Juventus
PSG vs Man United

Is he right though? When did the first mistake take place in the draw? Wasn't it since the very first moment?

I’m going to go on the limb and say that they’ll feck up the redraw as well.

Thank feck they're redrawing, don't mind playing PSG but what that was a fecking rort.

As far as I'm aware, the first mistake happened after Villarreal was drawn so Madrid do have a point here.

Liverpool had Bayern Munich in the last 16 3 years ago and spanked them. I think they would beat any team they come up against, but them getting a free pass to the 1/4 finals would be annoying.

"Spanked them".

2-1 up on agg until an 84th min goal made it 3-1 does not constitute a spanking.

Why are Real Madrid such cnuts? Why the feck are they still allowed in this competition?

Nah yours was the first draw and it was fine, it was the 2nd fixture where the feck up started so they do have a point. Would be funny to see Perez & co's outrage if you get the hardest draw now though.

They apparently had a few balls in wrong pots. They have to redo the whole thing.

Would be amazing if Real got Benfica again only for them to get knocked out

They are not necessarily wrong. UEFA could just redraw from their first mistake, so Real Madrid's draw would remain. That would probably be the most fair solution.

No matter what, some teams will end up being unhappy though.
