Champions League Round of 16 (13th Feb - 14th Mar)

Bleh. Played ok over the two legs, hit the woodwork 4 times but I always thought Barca had another gear if they needed it.

Always more annoying to lose because of mistakes rather than great play from the oppo.

Messi was the difference over the two games. Barcelona are in trouble once he decides to hang up his boots.

Chelsea hit 4 woodworks in 2 legs and yet failed to score a single goal . Barca didn't impress me at all. They are just Messi and a good defending.

Conte will be sacked but this wasn't on him, you simply can't make the individual mistakes Chelsea made.

I think every single Barcelona goal came after a stupid mistake.

English commentators' views on these type of games are really weird. Draw 1-1 playing defensive football, creating a handful of chances and no clear-cut chances, and it raises all kinds of questions. Lose 3-0 playing open football, creating a handful of chances and no clear-cut chances, and it's proof that they can play football against the big boys. Mad.

Real Madrid-Liverpool
Juventus-Barcelona
Bayern-City
Roma-Sevilla

Given that Chelsea hit 4 woodworks, defending must not have been that good either.

Barcelona didn't impress. Maybe they will find another gear vs the favourites though.

But that's no an indication of competiveness for me, though.

There is no tension in any of the league races. Last season, no tension, season before, no tension, Leicester won it by 10 points with 2/3 games to spare, no tension.

City have a 16 point gap and will win it with 6 points. 0 competition.

Atletico will probably come second though and Madrid the best team in Europe are 4th and reigning champs are 4th.

City are the only top team in the league hence why they are making the league look like Pep did when he was at Bayern and Barcelona

If you think Real Madrid on 4th makes La Liga so competitive then what do you have to say English champions

Hard to take your opinion seriously, since you don't even know Chelsea did score in home leg. I wonder if you even watched the match?

Barca were great, yes they were fortunate not to concede but they have been one of the more clinical teams and have the best defense in Europe

Barca look a bit too defensive. Think a tie between Real and City would be the most interesting to watch.

Real-Barca
Liverpool-City
Juventus-Bayern
Roma-Sevilla

That looks good to me =)

Roma and Sevilla look like the easier ties out of the opponents available (although neither of them are easy opponents).

I’m not sure how we’d get on against City, maybe we’d have a chance against Bayern?

Real, Barcelona and Juventus would almost certainly knock us out.

We were pretty poor tonight but the Goat stepped up and that was the difference, really happy for Dembele also. Umtiti was brilliant once again, we need to tie him down to a new contract and higher release clause ASAP!

Chelsea were unlucky again as they were in the first leg, think they hit the post twice tonight as well? Willian is so underrated, was shitting myself whenever he got the ball in and around our penalty area.

Valverde needs to sort out our midfield and especially Roberto at RB, we'll get demolished vs Bayern/City.. hopefully Semedo is back for the next round.

Madrid in the next round please :D
