Champions League Round of 16 (13th Feb - 14th Mar)

I’m on a Spurs forum as well, it’s half time. I’m not here to WUM just find a more widespread appreciation for the game rather than a shit storm of panic on a Spurs match day forum.

No need to defend yourself pal. Some are just disillusioned with how Spurs have performed over the two legs so far against a good Juve side. I, myself, fancied Juve when the draw was made but Spurs have been excellent. Enjoy it.

Ahhhh I see a mature debate lol, I never said that. You beat the team in front of you, doesn’t matter how badly that team is perceived to have played.

Why are you posting on the internet when the team you support is in a champions league knock out match? Don’t you enjoy just watching the match instead of reading united fans comments on here?
Just curious as it’s not something I could ever do during a tense knockout match

Alli is a prick but how is that a yellow? Ref is extremely card happy.

Yes, the true flavour of European football is gone, historic clubs like Benfica and Porto reduced to feeder team status another sign of the issue. I miss the days when a trip to Turkey for example meant a very difficult test or when Dynamo Kiev could go to the Nou Camp and humiliate Barca with Shevchencko and Rebrov.

Loved Monaco last year, then they were cherry picked to death.
Good post mate, completely agree.

The Spurs loving makes no sense because they aren't actually that good. City loving makes much more sense because they are clearly superior to everyone.

Spurs aren't a benchmark for what United should be, because they aren't even better than us. City are the ones we should try to overcome, and so are the benchmark for us.

Spurs haven't spent a Billion quid. Of course City are better, they should be. Spurs an example of what proper building of a team can accomplish, very easy to like.

Though for all of spurs domination, it has to be said, juventus should have had a penalty with 0-0. That was a big turning point

By your logic our match day thread should not exist as well.

Yes, it is. How is that relevant? Troll.
Troll?! You're trying to tell me that Serie A isn't a weak league because Juventus have been in the CL for ages? They're serial bottlers in the competition, how is that trolling? It's fact.

I'm sorry but I support Man Utd, who demand trophies and have the money to make a super team. I don't want the 'develop players trophy' or 'play good football trophy'. I want a team that will overcome every other team and win the big competitions, and City are doing that better than Spurs.

Call me crazy, but I’d rather win honest. Poch might get us attacking better, but he’d also get us in with a shout at wining gold at the Olympic diving competition.
You can play well and win! Honestly, I can't think of many teams that win and play the disjointed stuff we do. It doesn't have to be one or the other.

City are a fecking atrocious club and our rivals. Some people here genuinely dislike Spurs as a result of Glaston.

Imagine if Messi picks up an injury before the world cup.

Argentina's midfield even worse than Juve. Still no shors on target for them.

Zzz. Spurs are basically cruising to qualification here. Step it up you Italian cnuts.

You're judging the whole league on 2 games.

City should in no way be the benchmark for us. We are a club that have dominated a top League for nearly 20 years. As good as City are until they show themselves to be the best side in the World we shouldn't be chasing them. A club with the history of ours should be aiming to be the best not as good as a side who have achieved the total of feck all in Europe so far and have failed to ever defend the title as Champions.

Hello David :)

They are example of building a good team than finishes consistently in top 4 and play very good football. I hope that's not your only ambition like us.

They are a good team but he's right, they aren't example for us to take by any means. Different ambitions, different targets and different financial support.

It doesn’t take much to reply, but I tell you what I won’t post again till after the match.

Spurs have made them look bad, albeit with a huge slice of luck. Still diving pricks though.

Tagline. That's a new one. Haven't seen it thus far.

Juve bringing on two fullbacks as their first two substitutions when needing two goals to progress? LvGesque from Allegri :wenger:

edit. Nevermind it's worked
