That 4-0 win against barca seems like a one off.

Next manager to come in has to work around them not losing a single game in the league and destroying the league way harder than Guardiola did with Barcelona/Bayern or current City.
If you take these players and let them laugh at their rivals like has happened with Neymar, it's going to be too hard for the squad to turn up the extra 2/3 levels they have to push for in the swap between national vs continental footballl, most big teams from EPL or La Liga even struggle with just finding that extra gear.

Regardless of the money spent it is still very difficult to win and you do need some luck as well. How were Madrid feeling back in 2009/10 when they broke records for Ronaldo, Kaka and Benzema to then go out at the last 16 stage? Unless every other club has a huge injection of cash and can build teams that provide some sort of challenge then they will continue to fail because the players will not naturally drop to that level.
All PSG have acheived in 6 years and over a billion euros spent is the french league title every year, which they could have done with a tenth of that.
Injuries IMO. Been coming, all those muscle injuries take their toll and it was always pretty obvious that he'd have a huge decline once he lost a bit of that pace.
