Champions League Round of 16 (13th Feb - 14th Mar)

Happy that once again rent-a-team is gone. Congrats on your Ligue 1 title, Neymar:lol:

Rather Madrid go through. Would rather they play Liverpool/City etc if they draw either one, rather than PSG and their bottling ways.

Madrid are fantastic at killing teams off, once they get that lead they just seem to then destroy teams

Even Real Madrid is recovering the flat 4-4-2. What's the world coming to? Fortunately, A.Pereira is doing a workshop on it for us at Valencia.

Pastore's total lack of giving a feck off the ball is pretty spectacular. Lost the ball on the halfway line, half-arsedly followed Carvajal back to the edge of the box and then just let him run on into the box for the goal. Spent the rest of the time strolling around with his head down.

What's the deal with having "Lass" on your shirt?
Like half his first name?

Cavani and Marcelo having a chat. Not giving a feck the games going on.

Very much a case of emperor's new clothes when it comes to PSG.

Every time i watch them in this competition i just don't get it. I don't get what the fuss is about. Why they're always so hyped up. They're shite and always choke. Their mentality is shocking and they're so bloody spineless.

You know you're getting the piss taken out if you when Sergio Ramos tries a 40 yarder

Flat 4-4-2 has been the default formation of most Spanish teams for years. Atleti, Valencia, Villarreal, Espanyol, several small teams... even Barcelona ditched their sacred 4-3-3 for a flat 4-4-2

Ramos now holds the record for most cards received in the CL (37), beating Paul Scholes.

Think their league being so easy does not help them with mentality. It doesn't toughen them up.

Modric on the bench seems to be saying "And I didn't even have to come on, LOL"

Absolutely pathetic for a team that were one of the favourites to win the CL.
You have to say it's a bit unlucky to draw Madrid of all the possible teams after winning the group but they should've put in a better fight definitely.

Yeah, I used even because of Barcelona.

Ah Pastore, another caf wunderkind who turned out to be bleh.

Yep, big names, easy league, overpower the French teams with depth and talent but you actually have to be a proper team with some tenacity about you at this level and they are devoid of it. Di Maria, Draxler, Pastore,Veratti, Rabiot, all very nice and talented players who melt down mentally when the heat comes on. Neymar with all his demands and tantrums, what a group of clowns.

Probably go big for Pogba in the Summer.

I think @Camy89 is, atleast he had some updates early on.
Weird match choice though.
I am. I'm in a pub showing both. The only seat I could get was facing the Liverpool game. I've now conquered another seat with main view of Madrid and a side glance of Liverpool. Haven't been watching the Liverpool game since halftime though

Bale looks a totally pointless player at the moment. No confidence or injuries really taken their toll?
