Champions League Quarter Finals | Chelsea vs Real (Tue) | Bayern vs City (Wed)

You have the atmosphere at the Emptyhad, and then this at the Allianz. There's just no comparison!

It's also truly amazing how some people (not you, making a general point) can't see beyond his stint at Stoke

Put players in environments with proper coaching and support, and watch them outperform past history in dysfunctional environments.
True, I have no memory of him being at Stoke at all

But nonetheless that's kind of my point - I don't think he is outperforming his former self (at least not what I remember from his Bundesliga time before his move to Stoke), he still is a decent to good striker - nothing amazing, but a solid backup for a top club. That was the role he can and should fulfill (and did so quite well at PSG and Bayern), but now he is just proof for how Bayern fecked up their squad planning.

Over for Benfica? 0-3 down on Agg and they are really playing into Inter's hands there with quite a naive pressing.

Yeah against you lot, who are far, far better than any of those 8 sides. I'm not suggesting Liverpool are great or psg, but those 8 teams are among the weakest I've ever seen for one side of a draw. Not a single side that you would really have given a chance of winning it, while the other side of the draw had all the favourites
Fact of the matter is all 4 teams were worthy of the QF on both strenght of the teams, competition, and run through CL. Yes, having all 3 of Madrid, City and Bayern on one side of the draw makes them look worse than they are, but it's happened before. In 15/16 we ended up with Bayern, Barcelona and Atletico on one side, and Madrid and a bunch of crap on the other

A month ago Napoli looked like the best team in the competition

Sane, Christ. should get punched for missing that. where's Mane when you need him?
