Champions League Quarter Finals (5th - 13th Apr)

Besides Darwin as a possible interesting player who would you honestly take from that team.
They looked pretty good against a top Liverpool side, obviously Darwin is the main attraction but Portuguese players are commonly cheaper so could see it being picked at.

That was entertaining in a weirdest way. Even Foden was pissing himself with laughter at the end.

At least that finished with a flourish. Horrible viewing for the majority.

Hate it when commentators say "this is the type of thing you don't want to see", yes it fecking is!

Fletcher was absolutely unbearable tonight.

Honestly City looked a very average team over this knock out.

They barely created anything in the first leg, and their display in Madrid has been awful. Nothing happened in the first part, in the 2nd Atletico was way better. They are very luck to be alive.
Atletico had more clear chances than them overall and they were robbed (that penalty... ehem...).

I cannot understand why Simeone waits until the last half to tell his team to play. They have enough talent for a more positive football for 180 minutes, not just 45.

Savic really has a hard on for Grealish, hope Jack busted the cnut!

City players are also a bunch of dirty cnuts who have their own antics which they do all season and Foden is an absolute twat.

City were every bit as horrible as Atleti. Foden is a disgrace.

Still think that was a foul on Correa in the box around 75 mins.

Nonsense we dived about and wasted time like Atletico do but not one of our players tried to hurt anyone..

this thread looks like bluemoon! Hehe.
Good ending, a good brawl is always appreciated. Atlético wasted the first half. Cunha and de Paul very active the minutes they had.
A pity, Atlético would have been much more attainable for Madrid

Boring game but the shithousing made it entertaining. Funny to see that a day after the Northern Ireland women‘s manager claimed that women get too emotional in the game!

How were they robbed? Atletico should have had two red cards, and one of them should have been in the first half.

City dominated them in the first leg; they had plenty of chances to win that by more than 1 goal. Atletico had 1 shot there.

City win the xG for this match but Jesus Christ were they on the ropes for a while in the second half

I'd be shocked if we won the xg, I guess the Gundogan misses. But it feels like Atletico had all the chances.

I cant understand how some united fans love that AM are out and City are through. Some strange times.
Because they’d rather play rugby and killed us with shithousery. But as an NYCFC, fan id rather see my daddy club go through and then, hopefully lose against another Benzema hat trick.

Two most disgusting teams in football for different reasons. A sorry night for the sport

I'll admit this increased my admiration for pep, he sure knows how to out dirty that bastard , quite impressive.

That’s the only way to respond to Atletico. No point getting caught up in the injustice of it like we did. Just put it right back on them and they can’t take it.

Wow. Haven’t seen City dominated like that under Pep ever.
Exactly. Atletico are technically very very good.

Yes they're thugs. Yes they're shameless in the way they put all the bodies behind the ball.

But when they're going for goal, they're technically excellent, and the comparisons to Burnley are embarrassing from the Caf.

They had City pinned back that entire second half. That was very impressive.
