Champions League Quarter Finals (5th - 13th Apr)

Fantastic game, very entertaining!

I hope Real wins it all, I like Ancelotti a lot!

Those subs killed Chelsea.

Haven't seen a team get battered that bad for 120 minutes and still go through in the tie. Probably give both semis a miss, I'd say both are pretty much nailed on for City and Pool victories. City won't make the mistakes Chelsea made in the first leg.

You's should of been hammered the night city will wipe the floor with yea's sorry to say if you play that open against them

"We will thoroughly analyze this opponent, but we know all players. It won't be too difficult to develop a match plan against these lads."

The guy is an absolute joke. I have no idea why someone would think he's adequate for the job.

So a treble for City or another CL for Liverpool? Man, season can't end sooner.

Hugely entertaining game. Great performance by Chelsea until the latter stages, their bench really let them down.

Also nice to see Villareal pull their special act against Bayern, almost makes up for the Europa league final in knowing it wasn’t an one off thing.

Do we want him to feck off while Klopp's at Liverpool? I don't want the scouse having a clear path to the title.
I think city and Liverpool push each other to mental heights, and as soon as one drops off the other might as well. Hopefully to a level we might stand a chance of reaching.

Bit worrying what City will do to Madrid once they get hold of them next round. But football often doesn't work like that so who knows.

I did say Bayern would struggle against Villarreal.

Amazing game. Real probably fortunate to go through in the end but it's just what they do. Should've gone out to PSG but they found a way. Can definitely see them winning the whole thing now.

Who did we dominate?
To you and the others like @MUFC OK
I am glad we actually didn‘t play or dominate like this.
When we made glorious comebacks we at least made sure we won the tie. Even Ole managed it against PSG.
And Real aren‘t even that good anymore, a lot of past it players. And when the dramatic posts started Chelsea were only drawing the tie or maybe leading by 1 goal.

Look, Chelsea have mostly been good in Europe, they have reached so many semis in the last two decades. And Tuchel is a good coach. But as I said, RM are not as good as they used to be and losing 1-3 at Stamford Bridge isn‘t great either.

As for our dominant matches, as mentioned Milan 2010 for example (Milan won the CL only 3 years ago whereas RM last won it almost 4 years ago).
We also beat Chelsea in the CL in 2011 rather easily. Their manager was today‘s winning manager.

Please win it again
Unfortunately being unkillable isn't enough when you're that outmatched. We'd need one of Atleti or Villarreal to beat City/Liverpool. We might pull off another great escape, but not two

Chelsea FA Cup winners, City Premier League winners and Real Madrid Champions League winners please.

Talk to em

I'm going to Paris for my 2 years late 30th birthday present.

With my Liverpool supporting boyfriend.

Guess what's fecking happening in Paris at the time we will be there.

I may jump off the Eiffle tower...

Liverpool will get Villareal in the draw, they're that lucky :wenger: It's either City or L'pool this year, Real Madrid are over reliant on 2-3 players and were really really lucky on both legs against Chelsea, while Villareal dream should be over by now.

Hindsight is 20/20 but if we hadnt made a sub in the 90, we go through
You start tonight's lineup in London you win this tie comfortably

On the other hand, Ancelotti stops being a moron anf starts Camavinga and Rodrygo, we can talk

Gutted but fair play to Madrid. By far the more composed team in front of goal - if Benzema gets that open header Havertz did 5 minutes from the end that'd have been buried. Or possibly the one from the corner when it was 3-0.

Agreed that the subs killed our momentum. Would have left Werner on as a threat in behind personally.

Kante was awful for us in possession - his feckups led to both Madrid goals. Not sure if he's not fully fit or perhaps this is what he is now at this stage of his career.

Who knows, just because he sounds like an idiot in front of a camera doesn't necessarily mean he's an idiot in the board room.
