Champions League Quarter Finals (3rd - 11th April)

Absolutely scandalous decision by the referees, that is not offside. I just knew he was going to decide this game. Absolute idiot

Oxlaide-chamberlain has been so invisible that when I heard people talking about how invisible he was I genuinely assumed he was on the bench and they were just making a stupid joke.

How is he allowed to go onto the pitch like that? Surely influencing the ref?

That was offside because the rules state that there must be 2 players playing the attacker onside. Usually we forget about the keeper because he’s way back on his line and only think about the defender.

You can't be offside when your opponent plays the ball

If the argument is it came off Milner so it cant be offside, then the position doesnt matter..
If not, Sane was in an offside position.

Liverpool in the last 5 mins started to get out, had 3 excellent opportunities on the counter to create something.

Surely not if the keeper punched it at his own bloke

Milner played the ball. Milner is a Liverpool player.

But it was Milner that assisted

VVD should be fined for his stupidity, he's been playing long enough to know that you play to the whistle.

Pep and his staff arguing with refs. No-one puts more pressure on referees than Pep's teams. They are a truly dirty team.

One thing's for sure. Don't think City are going to falter much in their last six matches if they play like that.

That offside call  , oh well at least fans will show some passion while discussing it in the pubs.

I thought Liverpool defended as well as I've seen them defend under Klopp goal aside.

City need to stop having 3/4 in Liverpool's box. The ball doesn't reach them enough in those tight spaces. What they need is to create a situation where 1 lob ball bypasses the Liverpool defense and allows 1 of Jesus/Sterling to hit it in. In other words, more players outside the box to keep the pressure on and allow for more passing options.

Lucky lucky lucky liverpool

That was goal. Can't believe i'm saying this, but we need VAR in CL

Disappointing game so far. No brawls, no punches, no pitch invasions, no red cards... I hope they up the tempo in the second half.

Liverpool aren't good at parking the bus.

And they need to calm.down their attacka slightly.

This is exact black and white situation where VAR should be used. Instead we have it disallowing the cm off Mata goal against Huddersfield.

I see, thanks! So City have been robbed?
They'll see it that way, but the City and Liverpool players were in line so I can see why the linesman thought it came off the City player. I didn't see that until the replay.

We need VAR :wenger:

Liverpool extremely lucky not to be three down already. Superb opening 45 minutes from City. They really are forcing the initiative with the speed and accuracy of their play. Liverpool tend to wilt later in games and their midfield already looks jaded. I'll be mightily surprised if they see it out from here, and doubly so if they manage it without scoring themselves.

Are people blind or pretending it was offside? City got robbed, stop saying it was offside when it came from Milner
