Champions League Quarter Finals (3rd - 11th April)

Can a player be offside if the ball came back off a Liverpool player (Milner)?
Did not look like the linesman signaled offside, but rather a freekick in the box. Foul on Karius?

City have been screwed out of a deserved second goal there

And that's a bad thing? That Liverpool team would do worse in the semis. Would be great to see this demoralising end to City's season continue.

Explain it.
That was offside because the rules state that there must be 2 players playing the attacker onside. Usually we forget about the keeper because he’s way back on his line and only think about the defender, but Karius was way out in the mix in that scenario and there was only one player playing Sane onside.

I will get flamed for saying this, but at this level, with a game of this importance, we need a VAR.

Commentators don't know the offside rule

Or: Ex-Liverpool player fails to see awful decision in Liverpool’s favour.

He was in an offside position but was not offside as it came off Milner

If City get Aguero on the pitch I think they can score another two goals. Movement is the key to getting at that Liverpool side and he's one of the best in the world for getting himself into positions

It came off a Liverpool player though...fail

Commentary saying offside Sané goal shoulda stood, was off a defender?
