Champions League - Group Stage R5 - Tues 21st & Wed 22nd November

If I have to explain it your never going to understand it, I'm not here to humour you. Clubs that are self built, to me personally are very much different to a club simply being bought and paid for. obviously that idea will be different to each fan depending on who they support.
Perhaps you can't explain it because it isn't something based on logic?
Again you cant compare football to industry or a land sale, its a sport.
So you suspend judgement when the object is something that has far greater utility for society (land), but have a completely different attitude when it comes to football, a sport. Think about for a minute.

The finest are doing arts & entertainment: Real, Barcelona, Dortmund, Arsenal and now PSG, City, Napoli.
The steadiest are doing business: Bayern, Juventus, Porto, Ajax and the latest Chelsea, Monaco, Shakhtar.
The poor among these riches are doing sport: Atletico, Sevilla, Roma, Lazio, Nice, Sporting, Liverpool, Spurs.
Other top teams do not know yet which way to go or, more poetically, where they do belong, notably United.

Arsenal are the most corporatized football club ever. They price like big pharma and their product gives as much satisfaction to their customers as a budget airline.

I have thought about it enough to know how I feel personally, if you cant see why its different in sport I really don't know what to say. Your being defensive about it because your a Chelsea fan I get it.

Fwiw, I love what City and PSG are doing with their squads and have every right to so. Those preaching moral pursuit of funds / spending should bugger off and start a church or something.

Also, loved what PSG did to Barcelona this summer. Those arrogant cnuts needed to be taught a lesson.
I'm gonna print this post on a shirt

Yet Barca are undefeated and look more balanced than last year. I’m sure they’re really suffering.

Daniel Levy is a smart investor free to make a maximum amount of money with Tottenham. I don't buy the story 'Tottenham is a club with superior values'. Monaco and Tottenham are in the same boat: the ultimate goal isn't to win at any cost, which is the essence of sport after all.

The funny thing is to suggest Chelsea/PSG/City as the destroyers of a fair competition: these 3 clubs - all together - won ONE Champions League in 2012.

Monaco and Leicester were recent champions so it's a pure fantasy to consider these clubs as the evils that kill competition.

You have a populist discourse here :)

Hopefully we will play PSG in the 1/8 finals , let's see how good they are in february when it's the money time in the CL...cant wait to send home that state (a state who sponsor terrorism aswell btw) backed club. Anyone really think you can win the CL with a midfield as weak as Rabiot Verratti and Motta?

It might sound weird but if Madrid play City or PSG in the next round I think they'll go out but if they meet later in the competition then I'd favour Madrid to beat them. You're way too confident for a team that's been playing pretty badly.

That midfield is more than good enough. Even if they aren't able to control games as well as other top teams they have the ability to play a bit deeper and hit teams on the counter. It does feel like it's a year or two too soon for PSG to actually win the Champions League though.

the same midfield that dominated chelsea at SB in '15 playing with 10 men? The (almost) same midfield that tore barcelona to shreds last season?
