Champions League - Group Stage R5 - Tues 21st & Wed 22nd November

Messi not starting in Juve - Barca. Rested for Valencia game on Sunday.

Am I alone in wanting all English clubs to do well in the Champions League? As a Liverpool fan obviously I want them to do well and win the thing, but I also will be cheering on all English teams including Utd until the point where we might get drawn against on of them. That and if Utd were to get to the final, then I can't support as that's the only record we still have.

I want them to do well generally but being a Utd fan based in Manchester I like to see City fail given all the smug City fans I know. I'd be happy for any English team to get to the final so long as they lost.

Well, this is just unfair. As small as it may be us and Olympiakos still have a chance to qualify and now Juve will get to face Barça without their best player...

Annoying but it's a smart decision by Barça's point of view. He's played every minute so far this season and first place is pretty much guaranteed.

Would be funny as feck if juventus smash them 4-0, but then i'd rather they don't. Really don't wanna play them over two legs

Don't want 2nd place. After Madrid get Besiktas only top teams will be left from the group winners.

I have serious problems putting those names into a formation.

Ulreich
Kimmich Süle Boateng Friedl
Vidal? Tolisso?
Robben Rudy? Thiago??
Lewandowski

Kicker has it as:

Ulreich
Kimmich Süle Boateng Friedl
Vidal
Rudy Tolisso Thiago
Robben Lewandwoski

Weird.

Both teams will be happy with a draw so I'm thinking it will be a boring 0-0 or a small Juve win which means we're out of the CL. You guys will get Besiktas no matter what happens so there's no point being scared of Juve ;)

Atletico are done, aren't they? They are bascially counting on Roma losing to Qarabag at home which is never ever going to happen.

Yeah, second place for either Madrid or Barcelona will get one of: Manchester United, City, Chelsea Or Roma, Juventus (in case of Madrid), Spurs (Barcelona), Liverpool or Sevilla, Besiktas.

So most definitly a big Team.

I can cheer for all Dutch teams bar Ajax. My dislike for them is too big. They're just so..Ajax, blegh.

Yeah, Atletico are definitly out, Roma needs one point from its last two games while atletico needs to win against Roma and Chelsea away while Roma lose their last two (including Qarabag at home)

No. You and Matt Le Tissier.

Well they have themselves to blame, not beating Qarabag even once is an absolutely disastrous return for a team that have only been eliminated by Real Madrid in 4 previous Champions Leagues.

Forgot Douglas Costa moved to Juve. Anyone know how he's got on?

A 4-2-3-1 is more balanced with Douglas Costa instead of Mandzukic, imo.
No it's not, Mandzukic is their balancer

I'd forgotten about besiktas for a moment. Yeah, we're getting besiktas, Tito Flo won't feck about :D

Roma need two points more than patetico technically. Lose tonight and draw at home and the pateticos might pip them to 2nd place

Vidal never ever could play something resembling a left winger. :D
Methinks diamond...not that formations means anything in modern football...

The 'hate' shown towards United (for years on end) because we are the most successful English team compels me to enjoy it and laugh my head off whenever any other English team loses.
