Champions League - Group Stage R5 - Tues 21st & Wed 22nd November

So if Moscow beat Liverpool in the remaining game, and Sevilla beat Maribor, Liverpool don't advance. The latter is quite likely, and it wouldn't take a miracle for Liverpool to slip up and lose against the Russians, either. I'd give them no more than 70% chance of advancing at best. One of the easiest groups and the only team they've beaten is one of the very worst in the tournament. Klopp has a lot of explaining to do.
Oh yeah, they are very very lucky to not only be still in it but to be a win away at home to Spartak Moscow from winning the group. Having said that, I can't see them losing to the Russians. Their problem is game management which is at its worst when they don't HAVE to do win like tonight. At Anfield with the promise of winning the group, I think they will be focused enough. What happens in the next round is another matter though because the way they play now make Arsenal look mature.

For what infraction was Karius signaling? He had that more on his mind than trying to save a moderately struck ball from ten yards. He was a bit unsighted on the shot, but his right hand went up trying to con the officials into something as he was trying to made a half assed save to his left.

Well you could bet your house on us gettng Madrid in the second round. Thanks Spurs

Sevilla player in front of him covering his visual on the ball. Appeared onside though

How embarrassing is it to get one of the easiest groups and then fail to beat any but the very worst team? It's actually astonishing how poorly they've done. This is not a club that's run on a shoestring budget, and they have a manager who was, not so long ago, hailed as one of the best in Europe. They're unusually fortunate to have landed in the one single group where you can remain in first place after winning two games in five. In half the other groups, they wouldn't even be advancing with that record.

We’re top of the group and are odds on to go through top of it. I won’t care that we drew a few games if we end up top after match day six. We’re doing better than we did the last two times we were in the CL.

We saved our honor in second half. Obviously I never saw that coming, I was extremely pessimistic. What a great evening it turned out to be. :)

You've been so strange this season. Atlernating periods of brilliance with others of ghastly incompetence within the same game. Quite lucky with the results in the league too

Thought that at first, but no other LOL player raised their hands to appeal. Thought Karius was trying to signal that the Sevilla player handled the ball before he shot it.

They are so bad at set pieces, they can't even try to cheat for an appeal in numbers.

Karius made some fantastic saves tonight. Henderson is getting a lot of stick on Twitter for his performance. Not captain material or good enough to start for us imo.

Someone posted he had 55% passing rate, that is abysmal for a midfielder. I am not sure how true that is, it might even be worse than the goalkeeper.

So there's a high probability that we'll get someone like Real, Bayern or Juve in the next round of 16? If we came second, we could have had to deal with Barca or PSG. It feels like there's no difference who comes first or second in the CL this year. I guess I'd rather we draw Juve because I don't think we could beat Bayern or Real because these teams will pick their form up sooner or later.

That´s part of their team set-up though. Always play fast and high-risk. Now one would imagine that once that had led to going up 3-0 that you´d be adaptable enough to play a little less risky and more possession-based, but we have 10 years of evidence Klopp does not think so.

True. On paper we have the best squad since ages. But in practice it has been shockingly poor at some times and just quite dull & ineffective at other times. Just for a few brief moments every now and then we show some quality. We have been underperforming throughout this autumn. Although, it has got a bit better recently, but the team still hasn't reached its expectations when it comes to normal standard performance.

Anybody knows why is napoli's stadium half empty? And not for the first time. As i know they are crazy for football...
