Champions League — quarter-finals and semi-finals draw

Soft? That's red all day. Ter Stegen considered a passing keeper? Are you serious? He is one of the reasons Barca is back to it's best.

Cubarsi has sold Araujo down the river with his inexperience a bit there. If he sprints back into the box, he'll be close enough to be considered covering and probably mitigates the red to a yellow, but he's just having a bit of a jog watching it unfold.

Catches him with his leg I think and possibly denying a goal scoring chance. It's harsh but can't complain too much.

Bit of karma from all the cheating before?

it's a red, but I still can't help but feel it's soft. this could be Barca's Nani moment if they go out.

By the rules, it would be a red even if it was in penalty box.
There would be some level of judgement about intent then I suppose, when I said he got it right I was referring as much to it being a free kick as the colour of the card.

Well deserved lead for Dortmund, and what a goal from Brandt... Just 7m distance or something like that, but beating three defenders and the keeper with his shot

1-0 Dortmund. The pass from Hummels

Good finish from Brandt as well, Oblak would be disappointed but Brandt got in a good shot from an unfavourable angle.

Poor Yamal had to be the one, that was a good duel against Mendes shaping up

Could be an interesting evening :D
Barca two up with one man down.

BVB ATM 2-2 overall.

Hate that this is part of the sport. It tarnishes football so much. It's technically a foul, and since he's the last man, that technically makes it a red card; but he barely touches him and the PSG player just flings himself to the ground. The fact that this can very likely determine the tie and cost Barcelona tens of millions of euros is just a farce. It's such a blemish on the game.

 That’s not a red
Not a red for me
That is never a foul. Never ever

This is pathetic

Oh well. :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

It’s definitely a foul. It’d be given anywhere else on the pitch. I agree it was soft, in that there wasn’t a ton of contact, but he brought him down and he was the last man. The referee had no choice. As soon as the foul is given, it has to be a red card.

Utterly brainless from Araujo. Barcola still had Ter Stegen to beat and he potentially had a chance to come inside and stretch a leg out to block a shot. What you don’t do is bring him down there, at 4-2 up at home, and leave your team a man down for over an hour. Dumb. Shit for the neutral too, as we don’t see any more Yamal and it’s likely to be attack vs defence now.
