Champions League — quarter-finals and semi-finals draw

Why couldn’t you feckers fire Tuchel months ago and get a bum interim in? Now I gotta worry about another Tuchel masterclass :(
At least that doesn't look like another Kim/Upamecano disasterclass like the first leg. This time Real has to actually do something to score goals, they won't be gifted in the same way.

It should be a 4222.

Pavlovic over Goretzka is ballsy, Nous over Davies makes sense.

Had you told me in August that I‘d be happy about Dier playing over Kim…

Can't believe that Eric Dier is about to line up in a Champions League Semi-Final at the Bernabeu for Bayern Munich. This will be one of those "weird facts about football" in the not too distant future.

Glad to see Pavlo back if that is the case

He has been really really good for Bayern. I get the jokes but I will gladly accept his constant 7/10 performances over Kim‘s and Upa‘s random 2/10 game.

I feel by now the tone has shifted from making jokes to pure disbelief for most people

The funny thing is Dier used to be that random 2/10 guy in the PL. Good to see him doing well though

Bayern gets finally some players back and can start with Sane, Gnabry, Kane and Musiala.

They were the better team in Munich and I think they make it to the final. There will be another „Klassiker“ in Wembley.

I'm starting to get a bit nervous about the game. I hate these hours before.
It might sound a bit reckless in 2024 but I wouldn't mind a Kroos-Modric from the start. If it's not the case I hope it's Camavinga instead of Tchouameni.
I would also like them to start the game with a comeback attitude, try to score, not be passive and if they do score don't sit back.

As a Bayern supporter I would very much like to see both Kroos and Modric start for you guys.

Strong lineup from Bayern, at least on paper. I heard Pavolvic has been solid in his debut season as well.

One of my favorites the 17 or so games he's played this season, would love to see him back if he is fit.

He needs to get one of those headers from corners into the net today

He is a young Pirlo/Alonso type of player and had some really good games this season.

But he was injured and so far didnt look like he is back to his best.
Its a surprise for me that he is starting.
Sometimes he is easily overrun in midfield and tends to go for a tactical foul too early.
I have a bad feeling he could be sent off tonight.

According to my superstitious beliefs, normally the club that announces the lineup before wins.

This time it was Bayern, who undoubtedly have a formidable scouting and development department, the ones doing it.

All German final incoming like 2013.

Bayern hasn‘t announced a lineup. It is (credible) journalists reporting it.

Who announces a line up like 2 hours before a games? It’s normally 1 hour… or do you mean the leaks?

Consider this: Bayern went into the season with Goretzka/Kimmich as their default CM. Now Kimmich has been pushed out to RB and Goretzka is benched while Pavlovic is the first name on the sheet in midfield (and apparently is that again after his injury), with Laimer being around as the workhorse. That alone should tell you how solid he has been.

What an earths this about?
He is a Barca legend and they hate Barca, I guess that's enough. I'm too lazy to search for it now, but before the first leg there was also a video of Real and Bayern fans together singing chants against Barca. Was quite funny to see.
