Indeed. I think the football world is curious to see how DM plays out at Utd and I'm sure some big players are reluctant to join in a time of flux if other options are available.

Arsenal still have a few of the same old problems, im not saying Ozil has painted over the cracks but Arsenal are definitely not back just yet. They have already lost to the other three from last years top 4 albeit Chelsea was a cup game. They were exposed by City last weekend. Theres still a lot for Arsenal and Wenger to do before they can be considered truly back.

Well nobody is saying that arsenal are suddenly bigger than Utd but I think an argument can be made that currently our future looks a bit brighter than yours. DM has a massive job on his hands and a lot of people don't think he can do it.

We're out of the league cup, unlikely to beat Bayern and at least one of Barca/Real for the CL, and the FA cup's neither here nor there.

I think we need Benzema or it's going to be very tough - Giroud isn't clinical enough to get the goals we need (good though his overall game is).

a) Chelsea won't sell him to us
b) it's gone on so long I think he has lost his mojo for good.
Benzema's the ideal choice, Wenger would use him in a more fluid role not just as a target man as at Real (cf Lyon).

Funny, I think he'd be excellent for Arsenal. A level above Giroud in everything he does. Very clinical, though his progression seems to have stalled a bit. A few seasons ago when he signed for Real rather than us, I was gutted.Never thought Benzema would suit Arsenal...And I can't honestly tell you why...He just doesn't look like an Arsenal player
