Celebrity Allegations, #MeToo etc

Freezing is a normal reaction to things like that.

I don't think so. The normal reaction is to go "Ugh!", jump up from your chair and leave. After all, there were two of them and the guy was lying on a couch with his pants down.

The idea that they were frightened by CK's 'power' doesn't hang together either. It didn't stop them going out the next day and telling the story to everybody they met - behaviour surely more likely to antagonise CK than a decision to skip the sex show the night before.

I suspect they didn't feel overly threatened by the situation at all, and stayed out of a mixture of social embarrassment and morbid fascination. Then, when he ejaculated, they went "Ugh!" and ran away.

There can be more than one normal reaction to something.

And I don't understand the appeal either? I get having a girl willingly jack you off but not doing it yourself and having someone watch.

Perhaps it's the thrill of doing something very intimate in front of strangers. One moment he's talking to these women he's just met and the next he's "performing" right in front of them.

It's YOUR experience. It's great you didn't freeze up and were able to brush it off, but the victims in this case weren't. Not sure why you find that so hard to understand.

I do understand, but this is not walking out in front of a car and freezing in a panic, or being in on public transport and have a stranger do it to you who could be dangerous and have a weapon. These are people in no direct danger who made the decision go to his hotel room and stay and watch.

Well, being unwantingly mastrubating infront of me has happened to me, from both sexes and i didnt stay and watch and wasn't paralyzed from moving , so no its not, not from my perspective at least

Hmm..

Yeah I give up. People like him are exactly why victims think twice before coming forward.

Like him? what and your opinion trumps everyone else's, pretentious much?

Louis CK said it was true, so its not a very good example

Their rights? You mean the right of the law. If every accusation deemed the accused as a sex offender without proper scrutiny and investigation, society would completely erode.
Yes because that's what people are arguing should happen. "Put them in jail without due process being follwed" is constantly being repeated.

This isn't about opinions. The victims have said they felt paralyzed. I mean, you have a woman in here saying the exact same thing. Those are facts; your own experiences mean nothing in this context, even more so if you are a man. You can't tell people how they should feel and then pass it off as a difference of opinion when they don't feel that way.

The Louis CK is a strange one, not just his sexual fetish, but the women being so "paralyzed" from watching him jerk off, they simply couldn't say no or just leave the hotel room they willing went to. These are grown women..
In this climate its hard for him to not come out untainted but this thing about celebrity power, every sports, movie or rock star uses their power to sleep with a groupies
Different people react differently to the same situation. From speaking to people, freezing is a very common reaction to a situation you're not prepared to handle and are unable to comprehend in the moment.

In that case, this climate is one I'm grateful we're in. And stars using their power to sleep around is different from harassment, assault and rape. Let's not trivialise things.

Yes and not every circumstance is the same. Just like rape and sexual comments that seem to have been put in the same box these past few weeks...

I dont know who you are talking of, but the example of being on public transport and a stranger doing it, that i fully understand, anyone freezing.
But in this circumstance, the women were in no danger and could freely leave and Louis CK did not deny doing it

If a women wants to see your old fella they will ask, hell they will probably be happy to get it out for you.

Always better to be invited rather than wandering around, pants by your ankles holding it like a 3 year old boy.

The kid doesn't know any better, a gentleman gets invited.

Not really. Louis CK's a famous celebrity with a lot of power who'd have been able to potentially damage the career of those he was making watch him if they'd told him no. Whether he'd have done so or not is up for debate, but the implication was certainly there.

CK's only accepted guilt now multiple accusers have come forward. Until recently he'd denied the allegations and was publicly labelling the women liars.

Probably not, but in this day and age, the Chappelle skit of bringing a contract for both parties to sign before any coitus is initiated, comes to mind.

Lads, I'd like to apologise for my last post.

A friend of mine recently told me that she was sexually assaulted whilst walking on the street in the evening in Florida. She was heartbroken and very emotional about the incident. She hasn't even told her family about the incident but told me, since we were discussing the Harvey Weinstein and Bill Cosby thing. George Takei is well known for his quips on Facebook and for his anti-dicrimination, progressive posts and posts about tolerance and women's rights. To see him being accused of assault and allegations about him perhaps using his fame and power for assault was not just ironic after all his posts, but also seemed hypocritical to me. I felt angry reading about Takei and made that post in anger.

I'm sorry for that post. I shouldn't have made it. Sorry for any offence.

Ridiculous tweet. There's plenty of examples of men being wrongfully convicted of rape. Plenty of women and men have lied about all manor of things to sell a story for money. Motor insurance is vastly inflated because of fraudulant cases.

Assuming all accusers are honest is as dangerous as considering all accusers to be dishonest

Bit odd to say these women were not, and should not have felt in danger.

Their responses sound like fright from the options of fight, fright, or flight. Perfectly normal.

Who cares why the women went to Louis C.K's hotel room? They might've at that point intended to bang him, it's irrelevant. What matters is he took it upon himself to pull his tackle out and wave it at them. Their reaction after is also fairly irrelevant, everyone is different. Some would run, some would scream, some would make fun of his tiny little pecker and kick him in the bollocks. It doesn't really matter, does it?

Legit not true.

Well tbh, the reason they go to said hotel room, and their reaction is very relevant, isnt it? Especially the former. How could it possibly not?

Because they weren't expecting the weirdo to pull his dick out the moment they got in the door. In that moment they went from whatever mood they were in before to 'let's get out of here, this guy's a freak'.

There's a huge jump from 'I may put out a bit if he plays it right' to 'I expect him to pull his dick out and wank in front of me'.

And that's assuming they understood or suspected sexual intentions. As has been explained before, it's fairly common in th show biz for meetings to take place in conference room of a hotel suite.

Right and thats fine, so it is relevant isnt it?

For what its worth, you can only speculate on what their reaction was, you cant assume. Though id imagine thats probably most accurate.

Theres a huge jump and all the stuff in the middle too. Fact is we dont know what their intentions were and its all speculation.

This wasnt a conference room meeting, this was his hotel room in which they were seemingly fine coming back to. As much as people would like to pretend this fact is irrelevant, it is. It doesnt take away from any alleged harassment, but needs to be considered too. Nothing wrong with that.
