Celebrity Allegations, #MeToo etc

Knock if off with the homophobic posts.
My apologies if my post was read as homophobic. Something I am not and not the point I was conveying. I realize only those who listen to Howard Stern shows would understand my post. My only point is that I'm not surprised this has come out based on what I've heard Tekai say and do on a radio show and whether he just came out is irrelevant.

No worries. Back on topic. ;)

There are posters here that appear to spend all their time batting for the sexual assault accused and their rights.

Their rights? You mean the right of the law. If every accusation deemed the accused as a sex offender without proper scrutiny and investigation, society would completely erode.

The Louis CK is a strange one, not just his sexual fetish, but the women being so "paralyzed" from watching him jerk off, they simply couldn't say no or just leave the hotel room they willing went to. These are grown women..
In this climate its hard for him to not come out untainted but this thing about celebrity power, every sports, movie or rock star uses their power to sleep with a groupies

Freezing is a normal reaction to things like that.

We don't know the circumstances, i.e. if they were frightened of Louis CK (physically, emotionally, for their careers etc). Since Louis CK has admitted he crossed the line already there is no reason to speculate in why the women didn't act differently.

As a woman who was in a similar situation, and still froze in shock, fear and intimidation - it’s the most natural and immediate response.

Don't think he is speculating from the perspective of saying anything against the women, but rather from a psychological interest in why that would be a way to react.
Just guessing obviously.

Also, just to add a bit more, I agree with the following:
Their rights? You mean the right of the law. If every accusation deemed the accused as a sex offender without proper scrutiny and investigation, society would completely erode.
An accusation should mean protection for both parties until the law sorts it, or there has come enough stuff forward to make individuals pick a side on the "publics verdict".

Most of us naturally don't want to believe that anyone would lie about being raped or sexually abused, so it's much easier to target the accused, but that doesn't mean it's the right thing to do if there is only a accusation at place.

Well, being unwantingly mastrubating infront of me has happened to me, from both sexes and i didnt stay and watch and wasn't paralyzed from moving , so no its not, not from my perspective at least

Louis CK's a pretty powerful and influential figure. Probably the case that plenty felt the implication was they had to comply with him or he'd damage their careers. Whether that's true or not is another wrong, and CK's probably done nothing illegal, but it's an example - as with many of these cases - of someone famous abusing their position of power and privilege.

Amazing how not everyone has the same reaction as you.

And perspectives vary from person to person.

Didn’t realise the world revolved around your perspective. Good to know for future reference

No shit, but everyone with internet access is a judge and jury, doesn't mean your right and i am not. And I am talking from experience, are you?

Were the people who you walked away from famous and in a position of power over you? And would walking away have had the potential to damage your career at all?

Which was why he/she commented on it not being natural for all.
Nothing wrong with being paralyzed.
Nothing wrong with not being.
Victims aren't at fault for how they react.
Hell, I'd probably shrug it off if someone attacked over something like that, but he/she was only balancing out views as someone who also had the experience.

Yup, amazing i am talking from experience, thats key, are you?

It's YOUR experience. It's great you didn't freeze up and were able to brush it off, but the victims in this case weren't. Not sure why you find that so hard to understand.

So giving your opinion, must mean it revolves around yours

No, it was your insistence that them being paralysed wasn’t an adequate reaction, followed by the ‘these are grown women’ remark, was not only belittling but glosses over the fact that women are likely to react differently to unwanted sexual advances than men for a number of reasons.

You were able to get away. That’s great, I wish I was able to.
Others don’t feel safe or comfortable or able to, and that is fine too.

Indecent exposure at a minimum. Some of them happened when he was working as a writer for TV shows, so that pushes it up to sexual harassment.

Hasn't indecent exposure got to be out in public? Thought I read something that suggested they'd find it hard to nail him for any charges - perhaps hence why he was a lot more forthcoming than the likes of Spacey/Weinstein with an apology, knowing he'd be less likely to suffer legally for it.

These happened a while ago, in now defunct companies (TV shows usually have their companies while in production). And even if the women wanted to pursue charges, which they probably don't, they would go to civil court not criminal court.

Ah fair enough.

Ok theses are grown human beings, if he did it to men, i would have said men...
A lot of theses stories are belittling to people who are actually in physical danger and are powerless to leave or knock the accuser back with denying the advances.
These women did make the willing decision go to his hotel room. He did not force them to come or stay. They admired him and used that to his advantage, pretty much what all rock stars do with groupies

As i said in this climate he won't come out untainted, all he can do is apologies if a complaint arises, but it not on the level of some of the others accused

Them being grown doesn’t mean anything, and is dismissive of their experience and reaction.
These stories are mutually exclusive to other stories about those in physical danger, they exist and can coincide. It’s not an either or situation.

Anyone knows that hotel meetings are common, I’ve had countless meetings that take place in executive suites in hotels because they have conference rooms that are great for hosting meetings, and are an ideal location to host a meeting particularly when you’re discussing something
Not sure what you’re trying to imply otherwise.
