Casemiro | United Player

No, Telegraph and Athletic have both been there, among others.

Interesting. Not followed much last couple of days but seems we've gone insane. Saw the Felix stuff and thought we were just being led a merry dance by the media, but perhaps we are just suddenly throwing money around.

Something has obviously happened or been said behind the scenes. Perhaps the Glazers realised that relegation is a thing

So anyone who thinks Casemiro isn't a good profile for United to spend 80M + huge salary on is a WUM? Ridiculous. Unlike you, I do offer analysis beyond "He's a DM, we buy him to be a DM and he's the best DM in the world you moaning cnuts!!"

- Ability to fit in a new disfunctionnal team? Irrelavant according to you
- Compatiblity with the style ETH is trying to set up? Irrelevant according to you
- Insight about what could be his issues at United? Why bother, he's the best DM in the world!

You’re WUMing in the second post I quoted suggesting the club can ‘kiss goodbye’ to Ten Hag.

Id already explained I was aware he’s not the same player profile as De Jong and informed you that the club knows this and it isn’t one or the other. You seemed to ignore this and still carry on rambling on.

People making fun of those who are saying this transfer doesn't make any kind of sense with the numbers thrown around. It's really true, United fans didn't learn anything from the last 10 years.

Yeah this has a big signing flop written all over it.

I'm surprised people think this. I'm aware United are shit but Casemiro is probably the best ball winning midfielder in world football and immediately stops us being so open on the transition, our biggest weakness. Reading off the game is incredible too so its not like he wouldn't have 3 years at a high level left.

If we all of a sudden have £80m to spend then surely we go for someone who is going to give us 5-6 years worth of service minimum, as an investment.

This feels wrong to me, fine player, but why would RM sell, they're like Bayern ie would only sell when the player has had his best days there.

Caicedo makes more sense to me, alongside a creative player.

Your club's in the shitter. If it were Chelsea or Liverpool, I'd give good odds he takes the offer and we sell. With you, i'm not sure. Maybe his belly is full and he doesn't care that much about winning anymore, maybe the money on offer is truly the kind you can't say no to. If I were to wager, I'd put money on him staying.

Then again, if you offer him something like £500k a week? More? I can see it happening. We haven't paid him that much all considered, strangely enough, considering he's been the one irreplaceable player over the last 7 seasons
Well that's certainly not flattering but thanks for chiming in.

I suppose we'd have to hope he's looking for a new experience and backings his own ability to change our fortunes.

Beggars can't be choosers. Classic caf complaining about the deal offered as if there's a guarantee we'll go after someone else if he says no. Just pay whatever it takes, it's CASEMIRO ffs.
Last summer it was "pay whatever it takes, it's VARANE" look how that's worked out.

For £90m and £550k a week, is he really worth it?
Just helping with the hourly cost increase.

Real Madrid fans didn't mind losing him because he often had a mistake in him and easily lost focus. Casemiro is one of the best CDM's in the world and they love him. Will be a massive loss for them if he comes.

There has to be better options than spending crazy money on a guy who will be 31 this season

It feels like people are forgetting that it's McFred we have in midfield, or maybe they're repressing it because they're traumatised (don't blame them), but we need an upgrade in midfield, simple as, and if an opportunity like this crops up to get a player like Casemiro even at 30 years old, you take it.

It's better than having to deal with watching McFred for the rest of the season.

In 50 years he’ll be 80 are we really contemplating signing a potential octogenarian?

Who remembers the days of only giving 30+ year olds one year contracts? Seemed to work relatively well.

Saying that, Casemiro is class. But he also plays with Modric and Kroos. May look a very different (and expensive) player here at United, but he’s obviously an improvement on what we have.
