Can’t people get its & it’s right?

He wants to elevate Manchester United to it is old glory. Don't worry I had a text the other day that confused their and there.

Worst bit is they were native speakers :p

Surely he spoke to Varane and Ronaldo. Either they mostly told good stuff about us or he didn’t listen to them. Both scenarios are fine with me

Whatever his motivation. The replacement of McFred + bruno with Casemiero, Fred and eriksen is an almost 180 degree shift in the nature of midfield. Once settled, it'll improve its by leaps and bound and we won't panic when the ball is at our feet.

The defense and forward line will automatically improve as the defenders feel more confident in not losing the ball and the forward gets more reliable supply and patterns of play.

Happy to wait another year for FDJ transfer. That is if he's agreeable

Unbelievable signing but will be no good him winning the ball and not having someone with the technical quality to do anything with it

Not a massive fan of this move for a number of reasons. He’s an upgrade but his lack of pace is worrying.

Stats are ok but the main problem is he’s always had a player to pass to, world class in most games.

Unless we surround him with similar players I fear for this. Anyway, let’s hope he’s the start of something better but I lm not holding out much hope.

That is not true. The are the top apparent young targets that everyone is going after i.e the Hallands, Nunez, Touchameni. You are going to loose out on those players to Madrid, City, Pool no question.
But there are other targets who are not as well known who you can get if you have proper scouting. Rangnick literally suggested some of those players while he was here and we didn't go after them. He suggested Luiz Diaz, Julian Alvarez, Denis Zakaria , Nkunku, Dusan
We didn't go after them and those players were either signed up by other clubs or got new contracts with their current clubs.
These players who are a better fit longterm are available. UTD are either too slow in acting to sign them or don't scout them properly. We need to stop excusing their transfer policy. We can build for the long term with better decision making and better scouting. We shouldn't go after players who are exiting their prime. Sure we can all get excited in the short term. But 2,3 years from now we will be looking to replace them. It makes no sense at all. Go after someone who can fill the need for 7- 10 years. Otherwise are in a constant state of rebuild. We have been in one since SAF left and its because there is no planning for the long-term

Well, we got some talented player before.
Martial (20 years old to join us) - We are still waiting to see his full potential, we bought him when he was not well known
Sancho (21 years old to join us) - We are still waiting and hoping to see his full potential (His stat was fearful than Nkunku in Bundesliga)
Pogba (22/23 years old to rejoin us) - We are still waiting his Juventus and French performance after his left
Jones (19 years old to join us) - We are still waiting his potential of doing paper work

But you never know how far they can develop to..Also, young star always inconsistent than developed players. (Any exception? of cause) This season, we have no chance to try and error to this season after two shite matches.
Then all of your mentioned players are joining the teams who easily got into CL football in past few years. They have a high fault tolerance to try some prospected players and wait the players adjusting in few months or a few years because they have a well-built starting lineup without prospected player). But we need pull the plug players to get the result immediately to avoid we got relegation/back to CL football and we haven't a well run starting lineup yet.
Moreover, we got two 22-24 years old player under ETH in this transfer window already (Malacia & Martinez)

What do our fans think he we solve? He will protect our back 4 well as long we don't keep playing Fernandes in the team acting like more like a second striker than a midfielder and leaving us over exposed in midfield and casemiro is not the type of midfielder that will control/orchestrate that tempo of a match and that is my concern that we still don't have that de Jong, carrick, Rodri, jorginho type to do that

Although he's old and on the decline plus on massive wages, he'd still enable us to unlock the true potential of McTominay so overall a decent transfer.

Some of the bizarre descriptions I've seen of Casemiro make him out to be more like Vinny Jones than a properly technical footballer. He's not some bruiser who can only tackle.

Yup. He can also elbow, trip and bite opponents. He is more complete than people give him credit for.

Never in a million years did I expect us to sign Varane and Casemiro from Madrid. These types of transfers simply never happened before. Granted, they aren't spring chickens but they still were big players for Madrid.

We are hearing said players are leaving because they want 'new challenges' but I do think it's a combination of factors including money/contracts, a new challenge and playing for the biggest club in England, which alongside Madrid, looks incredible on your CV.

There is still a hell of a lot of appeal in playing for Manchester united. Let's get it right.

I completely agree with the stadium and training facilities. Which should be properly maintained by the owners alone. A train line hampers development. But haven't we recently hired specialists to look into redevelopment?

Yes, but what's the excuse for the other 3 stands? Or the training ground? It's not going to come out the glazers pocket that's why there is talk of other investors, selling off TV rights, another loan and again the lack of internal and back office investment, leaks through to our first team.

Also this is not the owner's money, our budget is our own revenues. Which they have taken over 1 billion from since they came in.

Banter aside, at the end of the day it's still Man United.

If we were somehow get Fdj now this would be an incredibly window.

He's a great player top class but he can't solve all our problem on his own.

Can cas / Bruno / Erickson - Fred work?

I'm not sure
Casemiro/Fred works very well for Brazil. Don't see why it wouldn't work adding a playmaker in Eriksen

Dave (etc.) meltdown, reds in relegation place. United fanbase; ‘grr!!’ Glazer PR machine: ‘shares for sale’… ‘Casemiro’. United fanbase: ‘purr’; rolls on back, makes human-like noises…

Hi I'm Casemiro, how's it hangling?

Would be very annoying if he's the only CM we sign as we'll still have nobody to progress the ball up the pitch effectively. We still need a De Jong type player.

Much better chance at making Eriksen work in the midfield 3 with Casemiro in there. Martinez to bring it out from the left side, Eriksen from the right side, Fred as a box to box guy next to casemiro holding. Its pretty good IMO. Or just both Eriksen and Bruno next to Casemiro might be doable, but less likely imo.
